I just rejoined after a 4 year break, and there seems to be a lot less activity on the forums than I remember despite apparently higher subscriber numbers. Where has everyone gone? Are there huge third party forums now that people use instead?

I've no doubt the eve reddit page has drawn many people away from these forums.
Years ago there was only a few thousand, but now there are over 50,000 subscribers to the eve reddit.

The game is working so perfectly that no one has anything to complain about.

it does indeed feel less active. however between reddit, twitter, and other forms of communication, I feel like there is a ton of eve stuff going on, outside of the game, on the internet.

also I don't really miss a "how do I fit my cnr" thread every day.

Largely, the game is a lot more engaging and active than it used to be.

A few years ago I'd have been typing this post literally as I did low-sec scouting for PvP targets. Right now I can only afford the distraction because I'm doing boring manufacturing nonsense.

More active game == less active forums, and largely that's a good thing, bittervet griping aside.

Active moderation of ****posters?

I missed the COAD heyday and subsequent nerf, but apparently it generated a lot of activity at the time.
