No haven't bought anything yet. Just out of curiosity really. Although I would hope to fly something like this eventually.

Ok well dont.

What you want is a raven, much cheaper and better suited as a starter. I'll cook you up a fit after the OP I'm on is done.

You shouldn't really be using a Battleship for solo or small gang PvP if you're new to PvP, especially not blingy ones. Also, you should never have an empty Mid or Low slot. Sometimes I argue that missing out on High slots is silly, also, but it depends the ship and what you're doing. I would highly recommended starting with Frigates and Destroyers, maybe even Cruisers if you're keen to blow some ISK in the learning process. Feel free to contact me in-game for ship fitting advice, and any general help on PvP.

Don't let people dictate on what weapon system you should use. If you know you're fighting small, medium or large ships then you should fit appropriately. Only though knowledge and experience can you find out how to do that for yourself.

With that said, most players fly around in Small/Medium sized ships usually with a lot of speed and/or dps (with the exception of fleets).

That NavScorpion fit is good (assuming you have fleet support) but like others have said, if your new to roaming, it's best to fly something cheaper.

Once upon a time the Golem had a Raven hull and it looked good. Then it transformed into a plataduck. The end.

Honestly if you want to invest the money in a Faction Battleship that uses Missiles, just get a Rattlesnake, it is better and cheaper than both the Navy Scorpion and Raven (except in damage application, but that is only with Missiles, you still have Drones).

If you want to stay cheap, the Raven fit above works fine. Could also consider a dual XL ASB fit for no Logi fights (really hard to fit though).

The same could be said for your own advice. The Rattlesnake actually does more missile damage then the Navy Scorpion and has a heavier tank despite only 7 mid slots.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Considering he's new, spending 800 mil on a hull, then spending even more on fitting for that hull which will actually make it useful will be expensive, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to lose that kind of ISK as a newb to PvP, so why give advice to do so? That's just silly. And who solo PvPs in a Battleship?
