I am not a new player, I have just not played for the last 4-5 years,

What are the most important changes that have occurred? In regards to PvE, PvP, and joining back up with a player corporation.

Privileged people with access to good farming opportunities with high SP characters cried about clone costs and got them removed.

Don't kid yourselves. Even the dirtiest pirates from the birth of EVE have been carebears. They use alts to bring them goods at cheap prices and safely, rather than live with consequences of their in game actions on their main, from concord to prices

No more learning skills is the big one. The rest is stuff you'd have to read up on to min/max or decide you dont' care about anyhow.

No more SP loss with clones is kind of a thing, but if that was an issue for you Eve's not the game for you to begin with.

Ship rebalancing, on going and, despite the tears, pretty successful in making everything useful; massively affecting cheap PvP doctrines and tactics.
Modules are next in line for it I believe.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

you can add up to 50 skill on your skill queue no longer do you need to wait until there is less than 24 hours of room. I've had my queue at almost 400 days.

Thanks.

In game I learned about the clones, and the mobile tractor units.

I like the clones actually. I have two accounts. I can more freely use both more aggressively. A high sec account that has little pvp skills, but I can at least throw him into suicidal interceptors and not worry about 20 mil insurance.

Biggest change is probably the ship rebalancing. Gone are the days of each race having one good battleship, one good cruiser, and one good frigate with the other hulls being cheap, clearly inferior alternatives that had at most a niche use.

Warp speeds are a pretty big change too. The warp speed stat matters (basically, your acceleration into warp speed now scales with warp speed).

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

Imo the most important change was to crime watch. There is now a safety that keeps players (new and old) from doing stupid things. Thus such shenanigans as can flipping are no long viable. Everything else such ship balancing and clone changes are largely unimportant to new bros.

I have removed a rule breaking post and the one quoting it.

The Rules:
36. Posting of kill reports outside of the Crime & Punishment forum channel is prohibited.

More often than not, posts of this nature are made with inflammatory intent and are designed to promote trolling and flaming. Therefore, the posting of links to kill reports from any third party site, or the direct copy-pasting of kill reports from in game is prohibited on all forum channels of the EVE Online Forums, with the exception of the Crime & Punishment Channel.
Specific rules regarding the omission of pilot names apply in this instance. Further details can be found in the rules stickies in the Crime & Punishment forum channel.

Can flipping is still very viable. Safety button doesn't cure the lack of common sense. It also introduced suspect baiting, which is pretty common in almost every corner of high sec.

Btw gotta say I love you avatar. The contrast between the skin tone and the hair, cybernetic arm, and the tattoo is very unique. It's a sort of albino tattoo. Like a reverse white person, very neat.

To the OP:

- Sov was completely redone, soon to be redone again
- ALLL of the ship balance. Reevaluate ALL of them. Ship bonuses are now in a seperate "Traits" tab so it should eb easier to check quickly :P
- Planetary Interaction. Kinda neat depending on your taste. Can be good passive income.
- Exploration revamps
- Inucrsions
- Noctis
- New characters as you've no doubt already seen
- Captain's Quarters
- All turrets and launchers got new models, all have a fold/unfold animation in warp
- High res nebulae, they actually reflect the region you're in
- Attack BCs (formerly known as teir 3 BCs, teirs are no longer a thing so Attack BC is the technical term)
- Destroyer and BC skill split, have 4 racial versions, now required on ship size progression

A few notables anyway

Regarding joining player corporations CCP have kinda streamlined that also.
Click on the Corp button in your Neocom and set the filters as you desire.

It will give you nice results but it aint quite the same as actually interacting with people so what looks ideal on screen may not be tha same as randomly interacting with dudes in space and finding the undescribable magic of having a good laugh on comms/public chat channels and becoming assimilated.

Peace. xxx
