EVE General Discussion

So I goto Iceland for fanfest I think it was (there was no evidence of this in my dream so its my assumption); what year I don't know.

Weather was optimistic in middle of winter scene with the warm sun out but snow on the ground still.

I had come into the possession and responsibility for a van during my stay; how I got it is still beyond me.

Anyways to the weird part.

Parked the Van; Went into the restaurant I think it was a fish n chips place; ordered food; connected to wifi and wanted to watch the day's before stream and got to the new items for the avatars such as the little tubes for dreadlocks ends and new tats focusing more on minmatar styles that year. Also booted up eve to fly a domi from my usual homeport to jita loaded with not so many expensive things; killing it would have been a waste of ships. it was fitted with one new hull module that I don't exactly remember the name or function but the icon was unlike anything we had in the game current reminded me heavily of a SD memory card.

That's when some random crashed into the van in the parking lot pushing it out of the lot and into the water.

I was dismayed and devastated a bit; I had insurance but didn't know if it would cover abroad so I had to go talk to the rental car's (once again assumption) folks and they contacted my insurers back home via email and phone.

Then things get really out beyond normal sense of logic.

The company's initial investigation brought back statements from eve online characters which was rather odd. (apparently I left the game running in the as I assessed the wreck) Only one character I remember out of the 10 statements shown to me was one Tayra Banks(Sp?) (a character I never meet but going to blame coincidence and the likely-hood the name is after some actress/famous singer and the character's between dream and ingame are nothing alike so that's way far off) she was in a grifer pirate corp that did apparently did suicide ganked my domi.

Majority of the statements where lauding how terribly fitted the domi or the total cost of the fitting was/cargo was that a near by shuttle getting blown up killed it (a mechanic I know that isn't in eve atm) apparently domi prices dip below 100m.

The insurer looks up to me and asks me to explain that....

Then I woke up and immediately regret having dreams in the first place.

I once had a dream that I got podded.

It was super graphic and i could see my arms in front of me all frozen and stuff, with bits breaking off.

I almost pooped a little bit 0_o

Then I woke up...

That's the other strange thing I haven't actively played eve in months. I check in every so often but my duties as CPM keeps me away.

Weird Dream?

Last night, I dreamt I was a muffler and woke up exhausted...

Back in my day we had dreams that meant somethin! Kids today dream about candy and pop but when I were a yungan I had real dreams that lead to somewhere. I wouldn't be who I am if it weren't for my dreams. Even today I still have em. A few nights ago I had this there dream about protecting the bird feeders from the squirrels that are rampant running throughout the home. You see now that its spring time we will start seeing many of the birds returning and there is little chance they will stop by my feeders if there is no food in them! Everyday I have to fill them up because of what this squirrel's do. They eat and eat and toss seed everywhere! Hell, the nurse who gets our supplies said that they are going to have to make a few cutbacks and bird seed is costing too much! So I had this plan, you see Jimmy and I are going to pull some of the lawn chairs over to the side of the home where the feeders are at and were just going to sit there. When a squirrel decides to come by and try to take the seed were gonna stop em by getting up and shoutin at em!

Yesterday we had burnt toast for breakfast and Im going to complain to the manager when she comes by. She stops by at least twice a week because she has about 4 homes shes over. But I just dont understand how someone can burn every piece of toast they cook.

Funny how dreams jump around like that.

I have 3 recurring EVE dreams.

The first is simple, I dream that I start to DC during PVP and wake up.

2nd most common is kind of cool and almost wish it existed. I dream that Im in a system where theres so much crap floating around that the entire system is like a cloud of rust. The stations are covered with it. Warp speeds are extremely limited and your senors can only see a very short distance. Its also null space. Im always extremely outnumbered and trying to find my way back out or pick people off without being seen. For some reason cloaks dont work either.

3rd is just wakadoo as hell. Im so far out that the map doesnt work and Im running from strange aliens trying to get back home.

Now for my dream.


My dream took place many many tears I mean years ago. I was in a low sec system minding my own business killing red crosses when this good for nothing pirate scum Verone warps in and attacks me for no reason. He was in some noob mining corp called Veto I believe.

He managed to kill my harpy but only just. Since he was a total noob and I felt bad so I let him win. He actually had mining lasers on a pilgrim wtf?

Looks like your van had been poorly fitted and left afk outside the restaurant, which was then "bumped" into the water and ganked.

If the van was repackaged for transportation to Iceland, it would result in the loss of insurance when it was reassembled there, if you did not renew it on arrival. So more than likely you'd be out of luck.


My sleep meds are kicking in and for some reason reading this makes me imagine that I'm at fanfest inside the building but uknown to most, there are people wearing shirts labeled "CODE" going around and breaking windshields in the parking lot.

I had a dream once and posted about it here. To chat I had to write out each letter on my chest with my finger instead of typing cause I was plugged into the game. Now there is some real world thing someone is making where you can write on your chest with some smart cloth or something. They must have been watching my dream.

There are also the dreams like I had last week where your holding your ship and moving it around like a toy.

Edit: The writing on the chest one had a sense of awkwardness. In my other (non-eve) dreams if I have to walk it is always awkward and painful and one leg is shorter than the other. And I'm slow because of it but If I skip i can walk better and jump high so its much better than walking.

Also a lot of dreams where friction doesn't work properly, So when you park a car the park break doesn't work and the vehicle will keep moving around. And breaks don't work so your always fender bending other vehicles. And there are also occasional dreams where your driving a car from the back seat and it is really awkward. Or all the roads end at large deep bodies of water and brakes don't work so you always end up wrecking and having to bail and swim to shore where the shore is steep and awkward.

Awkward dreams are awkward. Guns never work either and you have to say bang to fire them but the bullets never work. And the triggers are always hard to pull.
