Clear cache client data

Yesterday when I couldn't log on or even get to the forum I ran the repair tool, after no change I cleared cached client data.

Does this mean I have wiped 7 gig of data from my computer?

If so is there a way I can get it back without downloading it again, it says it makes a backup but I don't know where to find it?

Hi,

If you used the in game way of clearing your cache then there should be a folder called cache_backup0. If you are running Windows vista, 7 or 8 you can reach this folder by pressing the windows key + r on your keyboard, this will open up the run window, then paste the following and press enter.

%LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\

To restore your cache simply copy the contents of the folder back over the new cache folder. However if you had issues because of corrupt cache doing this will cause the same issue to occur again.
