It would be nice to see Supers become Rare again... Powerful but very rare.
As they were originally intented to be.

in todays navies it would be to the effect of out navies mothballing their entire battleship/carrier fleets and wage war with patrol boats/destroyers/ and submarines.

Bring back remote AoE doomsdays.

It will be like our navies using strategic nuclear missile submarines to end all life with atomic fire

MAD would be all fine and dandy if someone would just push al the buttons

I suppose that would be where subversive espionage and proxy wars come in place...

This is incredibly unlikely, for several reasons.
However, the most important of these reasons is that the infrastructure to create them fairly rapidly is already in place, and well defended.
See, that was the one nasty consequence to the jump drive nerfs. In making it harder to project force, they've made it a bit harder for most groups to attack existing infrastructure. This is especially problematic, when you're trying to knock down an SCAA POS, given how those structures are typically set up.
It's not like this couldn't be addressed in some form, but we'll have to see what happens. For now, the proliferation can continue, unabated.

You have gained one level in necromacy and five skill points. P

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

only game that requires you to wait over a year to fly or obtain one. Remove SP requirements and let everyone fly them because we all know the isk to purchase one is monumental in proportion for newish players anywayz

I say remove them from the game or let them be high sec lvl 5 mission boats.

I don't have to knock down any POSes in nullsec. CCP is doing that for me.

After all, they were balanced due to being rare when they were powerful.

It makes sense after they become rare again (to the level of the past) they will be rebalanced to be appropriately powerful.

To be rare they'd need to be a cull first. Figures suggest there's between 9k and 20k supers in EVE. Not sure how good those guesses are but CCP have built themselves into a corner with them. Too many to make them non damage ships and not get uproar and significant lost subs. With Fozzie sov they've tackled part of the problem anyway, I'm not even sure once its released they'd need to many changes given there limit use in the future and how space aids crippled there mass deployment in minutes.

Don't worry, CCP will figure out a way to get them into destruc.. battle. Losses in game put cash in CCP's pocket.

The ironic thing is IF we get back to large scale fights pre super cap proliferation is that we will just end up back to Alpha Fleet Battle Ships to which is the only counter was.. yep you guess it.. Capital Ships.

Oh joy...

Agreed... (players)...

About 10 or so in Null who wield the that degree of power because they have thousands on a "list". If everyone only knew that the real plan by those 10 or so was all about "winning eve" under the guise of improving the game... many would not be rushing into this without consideration of the true consequences while the 10 are.... silent. (shhh... their falling for it... don't say a word).

That is not true.... ships above BS will still be used and in huge demand..... how do I know? Listen to the silence my friend..... do you hear anything from the 10 or so who call the shots so to speak? ..... shhhhhh...... crickets.

But, you do touch on the part of the players influencing CCP.... in that the changes, whatever they will bring, are indeed brought about by "the players"...... but which players are they exactly... could they be the ones calling for a change to lure hi sec to null? Of course. They are calling the shots.... and I am sure they did it cleverly... but it will not turn out as they promised... that was all a lie.

Nonetheless.... we will all roll with what happens, but I for one will not be in a mosquito fleet running down to null to bee cannon fodder for the 10 who command thousands yet very rarely log in to the game, some not even actually engaging in batlle themselves for years....

Nor will the plan to make minning worthless in hi sec or any other "plan" to force me to play the game.... based on the wishes of those 10 or so players ever manipulate me in how I play and what I do.

Players... ALL players...need to look at this and ponder what is behind it, and what they plan to do. I know what I will be doing and it wont be in an interceptor using entosis links.

I agree.... set them loose from their suffering and carebearing in null.

But, I won't be setting "them" free.... no, they will have to set themselves free.

Or

If you mean about the OP.... set those free as usuall and don't anyone start reprocessing them.... LOL Big smile
