It would help if you could picture the Sin in the grand scheme of things:

Panther is aruguably the best solo BLOPS. It's basically a weak machariel with a jump drive. It runs a heavy neut along ACs and kills ratting ishtars left and right.
Widow is a better choice to drop onto caps/BS (cause you can use rage torps with damage type according to the region), however it's not significantly more tanky than a Panther and also prefers to be dropped in small gangs due to buffer size.
Redeemer has an acceptable tank and Scorch L. You can take one or twenty, they'll apply damage to anything in the vicinity from the moment they enter grid, come with sufficient meds for CB, MJD, MWD, point, got appeasing fitting ressources and else are pretty well round up in any regard.

Now take a look at the sin. It's heavies aren't speed or tracking bonused, sentries wouldn't require you to be in brawlrange or even close, you have no good use for the highslots dps-wise, PG/CPU are not exactly avaiable in abundance.
So as it turns out, the Sin can do only a handful of tricks that it's worth being used for:
► Pretend to be an oldschool dominix with blasters and heavies (Has acceptable dps in spitting range, also you'll get your blops scrammed and dead eventually)
► Be logi with jump drive that isn't a carrier. One of the more frequent uses. Rely on your drones to supplement a redeemer gang and give reps.
► Be a moonwalk sin. Fit no sebos, lots of DLAs, tracking links, DDAs, OTEs and a mjd+stabs. Drop sentries, assign, start running away preemptively. Works very well with panther mentioned above.
► Fit it as a bridge-only BLOPS because you don't have a redeemer for that.

what do you wanna use an afterburner for anyway?

To look at how it's afterburning in a perfect manner.

Since i do love both Domis, i found Sin an interesting to play with as non combat hull with some interesting bonuses. And came up to the point it's a really good one at this role. Not that good as oher blops in their primary role.

I just bought the 94m ISK skill books to learn Jump Drive Calibration at 9 AM tomorrow morning.
That will take a while to learn to IV, then I have to come back and pick up the Black Ops book.

I had to leave a corp who just got wardec.

With a base speed of 146 m/s and 125% bonus to ship max velocity when using Cloaking Devices
= 146 x 125% = 182.5 m/s.
That is without including a 72.5% penalty to that speed, or to the ship max velocity.
I will try to verify what that turns out to be.
I think it will take me about 4 to 15 days to learn Jump Drive Calibration IV after finishing Jump Drive Operation V in around 13 hours.

182.5 m/s (without AB) - 72.5% (= - 132.3125 m/s)
= 50.1875 m/s
if that is the speed resulting a using cloak with the Maximum Velocity Modifier.
(Joke: I will not test compared to a bicycle in town.)
It seems to be applied differently, whether it is a bonus without hindrance or other.

Your math is wrong.

146 m/s base speed.

A T2 cloak reduces your max speed by 75%. Each level of Black Ops increases your max speed by 125% when using a cloak.

146 * (1 - 0.75) * (1 * 1.25) = 46m/s with Black Ops I
146 * (1 - 0.75) * (2 * 1.25) = 91m/s with Black Ops II
146 * (1 - 0.75) * (3 * 1.25) = 136m/s with Black Ops III
146 * (1 - 0.75) * (4 * 1.25) = 183m/s with Black Ops IV
146 * (1 - 0.75) * (5 * 1.25) = 228m/s with Black Ops V

Yes, that's more like it, that's what I thought.

Oh my god why are you guys doing manual math, we have tools like EFT and Pyfa out there you know.

And just fyi you can't use any module while cloaked, yes that includes your precious Afterburners which are terrible to fit on any Blops.

Also Sleepaz Den you forgot my two favorite Sin fits, shield buffer face melter and the Solo drop Sin (basically active cap injected fit with full rack of neuts in the highs). I'd post fits but I am currently at school.

In the meantime I recommend inspiration from this guy. https://zkillboard.com/character/2008187055/

OP from this thread is at again. I predict a dead sin soon enough, people! Watch the killboards and set your locator agents, cause this BLOPs is going down.

Srsly Vienne, this is not the ship you are looking for. That's a T3 cruiser.

Be sure Lar, ehm... I mean Veine knows exactly what he's doing. There's a plan in motion you cannot even begin to comprehend. In fact none of us can. But Veine will make his dream of using Sin to jump his covert fleet THAT ALREADY IS AT POSITION into destination of his choice.

I for one welcome our new pro blops pilot. Mr. Miromme, it's an honor to share forum pixels with you, sir.

I'm not sure if the OP is trolling or he is walking into his demise Ugh

Lady Areola Fappington:  Solo PVP isn't dead!  You just need to make sure you have your booster, remote rep, cyno, and emergency Falcon alts logged in and ready before you do any solo PVPing.

Nigh... There most certainly are modules worth fitting in the mids and highs, but this is using the hull to its max. Redeemer is a lot better tho. Sin is pretty bad.

I fitted a Probe Launcher I in the high slot with Sisters (Combat) Probe.
However, after fitting the Covert Jump Portal Generator I which is why I need the ship for, the device didn't come online.
I then found out that I had to learn
Astrometrics V
+
Jump Portal Generation I
which skills are not requirements to fly the ship...
That is about 13d to train Astrometrics V with +3s (cybernetic implants).

With enough isk to burn, on decent fitting and inplant, its the solo blob to go with. Neuts + 1500dps + active shield tank. Its about a bil or 8.
