Revive Alliance?

If I wanted to revive an old alliance name that has long been disbanded. How would I go about asking CCP to possibly getting the "original" alliance back?

If the alliance is still owned then it is highly unlikely, unless you can make a legitimate claim to ownership.

No the alliance has been disbanded for some time. I was hoping there some kind of application process to CCP to try and get them to reactivate the alliance.

If the name is not being used, it should be as simple as reforming the alliance.

When the Goon spy disbanded BOB, they created a corporation of the same name (Band of Brothers) and the existence of that corporation held the name so that BOB couldn't re-form the alliance. If that hadn't happened, therefore, I believe they'd have been allowed to re-form the alliance instantly (or otherwise why did Goons do create said corp?). So... try re-forming the alliance and if you have problems, it may be because some corporation has the name.
