The Bastard alliance

The Bastards is one of the older pirate corps in EVE, founded in 2007. Since then we’ve been roaming Lowsec in small gangs looking for good fights and ransoms. We have open roams every Monday, more private roams scheduled weekly and more than enough action in our space to keep us busy in the meantime.

Meatshields [QUORN]:

The Meatshields is a place for new recruits to get the hang of the game and for potential Bastards to get a feel for the corp and atmosphere. Bloodthirsty new bro’s will be trained by our awesome training managers. We have skill plans for you, classes ranging from d-scanning and overview to more advanced PvP tactics, fitting help, pretty much everything a pirate to be wants to know. You will be flying side to side with actual Bastards in normal roams where you’ll be expected to go in first, take bullets to the face and earn the name Meatshield. You will be molded into a lethal pirate ready to join the Bastards.

What we are looking for in Meatshields is a willingness to get out there and get shot; hopefully landing a couple of good blows yourself. All we ask of you is that you can fit a frig, preferably with some guns on there, and our training managers will set you on the right path. Even if you dont have any PvP experience, we are looking for people with the drive to become a merciless pirate. Even though we have classes and FC’s for newbro’s we expect you to go out on your own and find something to do or shoot if nothing is going on when you log in. You get extra brownie points with our training managers if you take out a couple fellow Meatshields yourself.

We are pirates though, meaning you’ll be expected to hit -10 sec status eventually. Shooting ships and pods first causes your security status to drop. At a certain point people will be able to shoot you first on gates and stations and high sec will become off-limits for you. New recruits should be willing to embrace the lifestyle and call low sec their home.

Older pirates who already have both the skillpoints and pilot skill can take the time in the Meatshields, a comperativly short period, to see if we’re a good fit for you and if you enjoy flying with us.

Bastards [BSTRD]:

So you’re a dangerous pirate looking for a home? What the Bastards offer you is a close-knit group of likeminded pirates and enough action to keep you busy. We roam in small gangs in anything from frigs, cruisers to the occasional battleships. We’re looking for players who are a good fit with the rest of us and even though we have enough going on, able to go out and make their own content. We do have content managers making sure we have enough interesting things to do, from regular roams to anything from combat recon fleets to Venture brawls.

Requirements:

Meatshields [QUORN]:
-Able to fly a frigate
-Able to speak English, working mic is a must
-18+ in RL
-Able to create content for oneself

The Bastards [BSTRD]:
-Battlecruisers at least up to IV
-Cruiser V with a T2 fit
-Good core skills, good gunnery support skills
-Knowledge of lowsec mechanics
-Self-sufficient ISK-wise
-Active killboards and a positive ratio (or very close to it)
-Able to speak English, working microphone is a must
-18+ in RL
-Able to create content for oneself and others

For both corps, apply with you mains, full API checks will be carried out on all owned characters.

Hello everybody, this is Mr Spaxi, poor SOB who's in charge of taking care of people within the Meatshields (the Meatshield caretaker). Up until recently I was held up with some other business, but now I am back to my first and my last love, Eve Online.

If you're brand new to the game and you know yourself to be an avid PVPer there are many reasons to contact us. A bit more than one year ago, I was just like you - completely new, I didn't even know I had to turn my safety off when I was taken on roam with the Bastards. Fresh out of military school with only 55k SP to spare, I threw some L1 skills in the queue and went off to make glory. At that time I knew nothing about the game, but I was sure that PvP is what I want to do.

Fast forward one year later, I am now in charge of taking care of people both in the Meatshields and the Bastards in terms of training or any other form of help. Taking out countless ships and losing them has helped me find my place in Eve Online, as a player PvP trainer.

Of course, we are not looking for new players only, but the veterans and skilled players alike. If you have just decided to resub after 5 years of inactivity we'll still take you in, hug you until you bleed and make you into a killing machine. You will still be kevlar for us, created to absorb blows, but one day you'll outgrow that and become what you were always destined to be - #1 on BC ranking.

Ah, alas, but you belong in the third group - a null carebear who has had a bit too much killing rats who retaliate as much as a baby with a water gun. You know close to nothing about PvP except to F1 and you want that to change. I'd like to welcome you as well, and under my gentle care, I will push the bear out of you (see what I did there?) and make you into a savage wolf.

Still not interested in becoming the greatest pirate who ever flew through New Eden? Don't despair, because the Bastards aren't all about what I was just writing - at the end of it, we're more like a social club of decent PvPers who like to shoot and be shot at. Besides, number 1 way of getting into the Bastards is by fitting into the group of social misfits that we are.

Being a pirate corp means we run very low rules - #1 Honor your word; #2 Don't be a female genitalia, at least not in public. For all else, there's 'DBastards' in game channel. Hop on and give us a word, and we'll see you taken care of.
