That is so funny, we have a game where things explode, we have the self-important forum posters declare that this is not the most important thing in game, which is especially amusing as the person I was going after has no kills, and thinks he can post on matters related to PvP in which he does not partake. That was the point I was making, he was posting on a subject he knew nothing about.

That was was so amusing to read I will be chuckling all day over it, you guys have won Eve! Well at least the forum part of it.

Priceless, that was just so funny, quick upvote each other while you are it, LMAO.

What I find very odd is that they will kill everything that moves for no particular "reason", or do highsec agro fu to nail a fat bling boat, with no potential for high profit margin or purely on chance, and then in the forums claim that the killboard is not such a big deal.

I remember a day when a 1 month noob could fly lowsec and most players would have been ashamed to have a killboard full of month old T1s and pods.

Now it's common and when they are put to task as you have done, suddenly "we are not our killboards".

This raises another issue though. If the killboards are not important, then what meta-reason are they killing for?

Its also odd that they talk about carebears in a dismissive way, gathering ISK etc., and yet here they are saying that the killboard does not matter, the most amusing thing is their circle jerk of up votes on each other, its hilarious.

Jonah Gravensteain has over 23k upvotes, so he has won Eve, I also commented on the fact that as soon as he posted he had an upvote, which means he did it with an alt. I noted Kaarous doing the exact same thing.

I had so much fun pulling his chain and now they all proved what roaring hypocrites they all are, priceless, all we need now is one of their mods to come in and say off topic and delete the lot and we will have won Eve.

Dude killboards don't matter. Its a fun tool, and that's it. It doesn't prove skill and doesn't measure ability. Sure, you can see if someone fly's autism chariots based on their loss mails, but that's about it. EVE is a sandbox, so the only person that can say you are " good" at what you do is yourself. Goals are different for each person.

I don't see any kill boards for asteroids....

I don't see any boards for the amount of ships an industrialist produces...

Are miners and industrial players bad at EVE? While I may not follow their chosen path, that doesn't make them bad at the game.

Lastly, you do not understand the context of the word "carebear". We all need to make ISK, its the cornerstone of the game. We don't hate care bearing. We hate when carebears want risk-free isk printing services, and furthermore, when they complain about losing ships --as you have stated-- in a game about blowing up ships.

Dude, I did not say that a killboard denoted skill, just that the said person did not have any kills or losses and that denoted a lack of PvP in terms of the blowing up of pixels.

Its amusing to see that you have the same definition of care-bearing as I do, and as I said before I want the balance to be right, there should always be an element of risk no matter where you are or what you do.

I was earlier talking to a freighter pilot who was ganked by Miniluv, he lost a freighter and ships in the cargo worth 6.5bn along with plastic wraps which we don't have a value on. The only thing that dropped was an Expanded Cargo Hold II, you know what he did, he laughed, he found it gloriously funny that nothing dropped, and he really laughed when I said that the value of the ganking ships was over 1bn, thats Eve!

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

Very interesting.

For future reference we here in C&P hold Jonas in much higher esteem than you seem to. He's a self admitted industrialist, he's not really involved in much PVP, and yet we hold him in high esteem. It's because of what he holds as true. Read more of his posts and you will see it. He knows what Eve is about and he respects it. He may carebear, but he's no carebear.
