Ok so my attribute screen says:

"
Neural Remap Available . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Remap Now
(Date)

Bonus Remaps Available: 2
"

So does that mean I have 3 remaps available? 2 Bonus ones and the one "normal" one or is the bonus remaps my total? (Meaning I'd have 2)

you have one "normal" one and two "bonus" ones.

IIRC (would need to find the devblog), the "Normal" one gets used first.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

If you see a date then you have the 2, bonus remaps available. Your normal one will be available on the date listed.

Its a mistake to say 3 remaps, since they do different things. You have your normal remap that has the 1 year timer and then you have 2 bonus remaps you can use whenever and won't reset the remap timer. Get a normal remap at the end of the timer(year) and get bonus remaps whenever CCP's is pleased with you.

But I can do a "Normal" Remap, I've only used up 1 in my entire eve life so there I do have 1 more "normal" remap, just wondering if it get's put in the Bonus remaps or if I have that 1 remap + the 2 bonus remaps

Simplest answer: Yes, you have 3 remaps.

Once you use your "normal" remap, you restart your timer, and in 1 year, you'll have a "normal" remap again. In the meantime, you'll have 2 "bonus" remaps to use at any time.

No, he has 2. Mine ended up the same way. I had 1 on this character, and 2 on my alt. Now this character has 2 Bonus and a timer coinciding with my last used remap. Same thing on the alt, except 3 bonus now, and the timer coinciding with her last used.

They converted yours to a bonus, which in a way is better since you get the timer from your previously used one, and can use the one you had as a bonus.

Confirming that CCP gave 2 free remaps to some accounts.

They said you always had that extra remap but it was never shown, they made it with the gift remap for that normal remap to be shown now. As well as bonus remaps to not reset the remapp timer.

So changes = normal remap is now shown, and gift/bonus remaps dont reset the remap timer.

EDIT

Oh wow was really confused, on the normal remap it will say NOW instead of a date when its free, didnt catch that first time read.
So oops yeah just 2 bonus remaps you have.

2 + 1 = 3 the last time I checked, but I might be wrong...

EDIT:- After actally reading the thread, you only have the two bonus ones right now. If the timer on your yearly one runs down without you using one, then you'll have three.

I'm still confused lol. Is the following right?

(1-Up, I believe like me, you have the word "Now" instead of "date", since you have a button called "Remap Now" which is self-explanatory.)

Bonus Remaps = 2.

What this means is that you can :

Remap today with no timer reset.

That's -1 Bonus Remap.

Remap again in, say, 6 weeks, with no timer reset.

That's -2 Bonus Remaps.

You should then STILL have "Neural Remap Available.. Now", and the Remap Now button - but at this point, remapping will reset the year timer.

Effectively, you can remap 3 times in quick succession then you'll have a year before the next.

There is no way to use a "regular" remap now. There is only one button, and after you use it and commit, you have used a "bonus remap".

amiright? What?

No. It works almost the exact opposite way:

The game will always primarily use a normal remap. Doing so triggers the one-year timer until you can use a normal remap again. If you have a remap timer (and thus no normal remaps), you can sacrifice a bonus remap to remap anyway. Doing so does not affect the existing timer in any way (and you will have a timer, otherwise it will use the normal remap you have available).

So, in your case:
Remap today — timer starts.
Remap in three months — -1 bonus remap, timer is now at 9 months.
Remap again in six months — -1 bonus remap, timer is now at 6 months, and you're out of bonus remaps (and normal remaps, until the timer has run its course).

…and six months after that, the timer is done and you get a normal remap again that you can use, at which point a new one-year timer starts.
