Hello, I am wondering if simulated prostitution is against the terms of service laid out by CCP. I know it is a funny question, but if you read my post history, you will see I do not troll. Please keep responses serious, respectful and focused only on my question(s).

Hypothetically: Let's say I would like to make ISK selling my virtual body. Would there be limits or restrictions placed on this type of in-game behavior? The sessions would take place via private chat, and only the sale itself would be announced in Local.

I would guess that in spite of Eve's reputation for unregulated market activity, there still has to be restrictions on the nature of the language used to promote the activity. What might those restrictions be?

I searched the forum and could not find past discussions on the topic. Has this ever come up before?

I am sorry if it came up before. I am interested in opening up a discusson on what the limits are, not necessarily a binary, yes or no response. How can it be done within the rules of the game, if there are any?

My concern is that people might write authoritative-sounding answers in snide, malicious overtones, skirting my request that responses be mature and respectful.

I saw in the terms obscenity is prohibited, as well as sexually explicit language, which are rules I agree with, even in a sandbox game. However, I am as interested in learning the possibilities as I am in learning the limitations, so negativity is not really needed in this case, but I recognize the subject matter - for whatever reason - arouses jealousy, or contempt, in certain people, like Vek Hareka, so it's pretty much unavoidable.

If it is cyber between two consenting adults, then more power to them.

The issue I can see is that the game has a PEGI 13 rating and it is easy enough for someone even younger to register.

How you identify and deny your service/product to those characters is a challenge, because even in a game, cybering with a child is not only repulsive, but also in many jurisdictions illegal, irrespective of where you are.

I added a serious tag to the thread, Vek, because not only do I want serious responses, it is a courtesy to let the forum know I am serious, too. It is a hypothetical question having nothing to do with me or my intentions.

But I hear you: So let me see if I understand you, if two consenting people use obscenities in private conversation, this is still grounds for a ban? Or is there a lighter punishment first, like a warning?

Pak, thanks for responding. Please read my previous post in which I addressed the obscenity section of the terms you just pasted. I have already seen it. That section is what I am asking about.

Does CCP ban for obscenity in private conversations between two consenting players?

Also, I took your suggestion and scrolled to the bottom of the forum. The irony is not lost on me that rating agencies condition audiences to be more comfortable with simulated violence than simulated intimacy.
