New Exciting Lasers for Miners Please

As the title says, can we please see better animated lasers for miners. I mean i don't get excited over the current lasers just watching a straight light starting from point A and going to point B. I have provided some video and picture links below to help the imagination a bit. Is it possible to make animated lasers that pulse and crack onto the rocks. Maybe adding some different color effects for mining different ores/ice from firing the laser and also hitting the rocks.

Not sure how the rest of you feel but I think it's time to give some facelift to mining laser animations.

Are you accusing mining to be boring and monotonous?

Not sure that making lasers different color will help much. Granted you will notice the new pretty colors for the first hour or maybe two, but after that, it will be just a thing in the background.

I actually liked the old school animations better. Needless to say when mining, im looking for profit......not animations.

Destiny always seems decades away, but suddenly it's not decades away; it's right now. But maybe destiny is always right now, right here, right this very instant, maybe.

Polarized mining lasers, can you imagine the gank fest?

A spiral like for the Quake 2 railgun would be cool, and like asked numerous times : different colors for crystals dimmit, maybe not all of them, but at least 4-5 differents colors.

+1

In the name of Jirai 'Fatal' Laitanen : “Some capsuleers claim that ECM is 'dishonorable' and 'unfair'. Jam those ones first, and kill them last.”

There was talk a long time ago for mining lasers to be colour coded to the crystal that was loaded. However, this simple addition didn't seem to appear in the game

Why? It's not like miners look at their screen long enough to appreciate new graphics. Pretty sure that's why mining beams don't change color, because the intended target of that change wouldn't ever notice.

I'm also certain that the new detail in asteroid belts was added entirely for gankers to enjoy. After all, you need to be at the computer, a tually watching the game not netflix or youtube, to see and enjoy the new graphics.

I dunno if its a simple fix it might be possible to just have the mining lasers track over the surface instead of all hitting the same spot... Would help a little with the being "at the keyboard" mining being as staggeringly boring as it is...

But i'd settle for lasers looking like they should (beam lasers having an animation time the same length as the cycle time effectively)
