1. A remote warp core stabilizer.
Gives infinite warp core strength to the ship it is applied to.
Counters heavy interdictors and all other sorts of warp disruption.

2. A pos fuel hauler.
I mean, we got one for ammo, one for PI, one for minerals and one for ore, so euhm.... well... why not?

3. Allow freighters to fit warp core stabilizers.
And if not, go for option 1, there is a counter for almost any attack in the game, a solo freighter has no counter at all, that needs fixing, not that I ever lost one, but technically this is an imbalance.

4. Allow apply to join alliance by searching for the alliance.
I mean..... the current way of doing it is just wrong.

5. Send a notification to the alliance executor corp CEO when a corp applies.

6. Stop adding new stuff to the game and fix real issues for once.
Like the roles and titles for example.

2 has been brought up b4

3 has also been brought up b4 and is useless

4/5 no you should not be just joining an alliance this should be something you are working out well before you apply its not like joining a corp (but making an easier way to apply would be good)

6 you mean like they had done for years since incarna causing the player base to get bored and unsub? they just recently started adding in new things again

Discuss


1: no counter needed, feature in game is working as intended

2: it is called a freighter

3: freighters are capital ships and are not designed for solo use. Scouting web boosters are the very least that should accompany a freighter. Just feel priveliged to have low slots.

4&5: a minimum of effort should be made to join an organization. I don't hire people over the phone, even if their resumeglows in the dark with references, skill sets and keenness.

6: nothing wrong with roles and titles, search and find relevant threads. That really goes for all the ideas in you list.

Discussion has been had, just not in this thread. Normally id search and post previous ones, But have very limited time ATM.

My opinions, don't let it discourage discussion.

1. Agreed, I think if there is a module that can infinite point there should be a module that can infinite unpoint :P Don't know if I'd make it a remote one though although I like the thought of it.

2. Has been discussed before but I don't see why this hasn't been done yet.
The "you got a freighter for that" comment is mute, no way am I ever taking a freighter into low.

3. With freighters being the only ships that can't fit them (outside shuttles) combined with the fact that freighters are incredibly easy to tackle, I have always felt that this was something of a FU in the face of industrialists and I'm not even an industrialist.

4. Absolutely.

5. Meh.

6. You seem to keep hammering on about that, not that you're wrong on the roles and titles

6 LOOK A SOV REVAMP, LOOK A STRUCTURE REVAMP, be paitient, roles will come, but only fixing stuff is boring for many folks

any time i have attacked a freighter i have never bothered to waist a point on it(HS/LS or null) they are way to easy to just bump so it would just be pointless


as to the infa point not every counter needs a counter all that remote mod would do would make it so warp stabs were pointless and HICs were pointless since anything you needed a hic to point would always have this effect applied to them even if there was no direct sign of trouble

3) Ahhhh, the freighter gank. I was in the jaws of a Blue Ice led freighter gank recently in Narjia and did manage to get away. Thanks for the pulse pounding mind f#$k Blue Ice!!! Most fun I've had in a very long time. That being said, it was only a combination of luck and scouting that I was able to get away. I was bumped but not agressed and had the presence of mind to immediately log off. Logged in a second toon to scout for my frieghter toon and waited to log in until they had another freighter gank well under way. Then logged back in and managed to get away. They did try to scram me but it was too late. They have since taken measures to prevent this from happening again by agressing the freighters with a noob ship to prevent instant log off.

That being said, as much fun as that was, there is simply no solo defence for a freighter and it is rediculous how easy it is to gank a freighter. Yes, you can take monetary precutions, and yes there are group defenses but not much you can do once you are in that situation and that just seems a little out of balance for this game. My solution, I simply do not fly freighters anymore, it's too much to risk just to move stuff from point A to point B. If that's the way CCP wants to go then fine, I got no problem paying the Frog to move stuff. On the other hand, I would be willing to risk it if there was a way to outsmart the gate campers!! That does not mean 100% safe, I would love to play the game if I felt I had a fighting chance. After all, I love to tell the story of how I got away from Brave that day!!!Lol
