A long long time ago....back in the future, SWG (Star War Galaxies) was an awesome game.
Making a Jedi, was tough.....
but.............
the little people complained...
the GMs listened to the little people. as CCP is doing here.
SWG imploded almst imediately. I dont even know if it exits now. but....
one mistake and people are driven away.

Lessons to be learned

Please CCP, learn from other 'game' mistakes.

Nerf this, nerf that, fatigue, now a proposed sov change. Beware.
The high sec people would be in null sec now, if they wanted to be.

Dont make everyone a Jedi................it doesnt work that way.

I know this is an IB4L. I just can't imagine which rule will be forced to fit around it.

The right to free speech doesn't automatically carry with it the right to be taken seriously.

If anything the rule to post constructively.

Either way, CCP's goals have been pretty apparent for a while: prevent / avoid stagnation in any one area

This means they will always attack the FotM. It isn't because we whine for a nerf, it;s because the numbers and logs (that actually DO show something) reflect it. FOr this same reason the svipul is likely to be nerfed as well.

The other main goal they have is to give us the tools to create our own content. This is usually the mindset that permeates new features or total revamps like the upcoming sov and structure changes.

And lastly, complexity for the sake of complexity is never a good thing. Having to fight the UI is not a feature. That's the mantra behind little updates to features and UI updates.

Pretty simple really.

all these issues are to enhance the game for others instead of being an endgame, players are content creators but if ccp dont give them encouragement to create content then they wont create content and the game gets boring.

Calm down miner. As you pointed out, people think they can get away with stuff they would not in rl... Like for example illegal mining... - Ima Wreckyou*

I don't see where in the null changes, the high sec dwellers are involved.

This one time the Jedi thought that bringing balance to the force meant destroying all the Sith, but they failed to realize that is was the light side that was imbalanced.

Then the force got balanced by nerfing the **** out of the jedi.

The Jedi called foul.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Once upon a time there was a game named world of Warcraft. It was the most successful MMO ever made, it had millions of subscribers even though it catered to a much more casual crowd (little people) than SWG. It still does.

The best part about eve is that the player ability to apply skills is far more important than the skills themselves.

Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you. Also, iderno

I think I can safely say that CCP is not going to make every character a jedi.

It's quite simple, brute force is a major part of EvE. The Force however, is not.
