WTF is wrong with plastic anyway?

Why would you want a ship made of aluminum or cast iron when carbon fiber is better in every way?

It's the future, FFS! Advanced composites will be the thing. Not some crap that has to be dug out of a gravity well and refined over and over only to become a massive and unwieldy material to work with.

I'll take my Gallente plastic Ferrari over your Minmatar rusty cast iron Mac truck all day long.

There is something wrong on your end. Mine looks nothing like that.

Thank you. It's the shader setting that affects these visuals I think.

Yeah, unfortunately with the new Physics Based Rendering Gallente ships look like plastic on anything below High Shader Quality.
