I've ran about 7 missions today with two being Mordus Headhunters (plenty of wrecks), yet I find it hard to believe that out of all the wrecks salvaged, only ((3)) armor plates were obtained. I'm assuming a nerf hammer was let loose upon mission salvageStraight No need to buy BP armor rigs I guess.

A lot more salvage drops in exploration sites now, this has severely depressed the market, its generally not a good idea to waste your time salvaging unless you are OCD and don't like leaving trash around.

Extremely bad case of the willies when it comes to leaving a wreck behind. I can't control myself and these afk activities.

I hear you, but it is certainly nice to not have to worry about stripping rigs as they are much cheaper now. I prefer the cheap rigs to making isk from salvaging missions.

If you are running missions to make isk, blitz them, you make more. If you want to manufacture rigs buy the salvage off the market, time is isk.

May be true, may not depending on skill level and ships they are flying.

Besides anyone interested in maxing ISK per hour from missions is blitzing 3's anyway.

No real data to support this, in my experiences there are differences between the drop rates of some of the salvage items depending on the NPC you are fighting and the region of space. I run level 4's in all areas of space and the best drop rates for armor plates seems to be in Amarr space fighting against blood raiders, but then maybe that is just how the odds are working for me.

mordus drop shield things, would be a bit strange to expect armor plates from them.

For Armor Plates, you better look after Sansha, Blood and Serpentis. Those factions have highest chance to drop

Did the Blood Raider Vengeance today and snagged 42 armor plates. If it's armor plates you want, work with agents and in systems where BR missions are common.

I agree with the OP, it seems somehow wrong not to loot and salvage. If the game gives you something, go ahead and take it.

But Paranoid Lloyd is right, that's not the route to maximum isk/hr.

Don't panic now … there'll be plenty of time to do that later.

That alt would make you more money sitting in his own mission with something like a Sentry Domi.
