Eligible ways of upgrading your account with PLEX; Buddy program

So I just want some clarification on what the buddy system counts as upgrading my account, so the person who refereed me gets his reward.

Terms say:

Eligible subscription activations can be funded by Credit/Debit cards, PayPal, WebMoney Transfer, paysafecard, ETC, PLEX and iDeal

Payments not eligible for this offer: Direct Debit, CD Keys, including CD Keys purchased or received from non-CCP sources and online stores such as, but not limited to: Steam Store, Direct2Drive, Gamers Gate, Impulse Driven.

As it lists PLEX as an eligible subscription activation, does that mean my friend can give me a PLEX, and I can activate it to get game time, and he then also receives a PLEX or game time?

EDIT: Just read the buddy program related sticky, will use the petition system as suggested to ask the same question but not sure how to delete this thread now :x

PLEX can be used to subscribe using the Buddy Invite.

If your buddy invitee uses PLEX to activate their subscription, you will not be able to choose PLEX as a reward from the Buddy Invite system. You will be able to choose 30 days of game time, or something else (last time I was issuing Buddy Invites the "something else" was a collection of destroyers with fancy skins).

Per above: if you use a plex to activate that buddy account you won't get the option to get a plex back but you do get the option to get 30 days free. So assuming you pay for your subs in plex and both accounts are yours it's still free.

Quite a while ago you could get plex back that way but that's been changed.

Hey guys. A buddy of mine just created an account but I'm not sure where to activate the plex from. Do i activate it in his game management or in his game?

You have to log into account management here on this website, and go to the buddy program page. You'll see a clickable button there.
