Like it or not, this too short series, has had a major impact on sci-fi, and pop culture.

I for one, love it and wait for more.

Edit: I have also seen a Firefly version of yatzee, with the cup being the engine compartment of a scale replica of the ship. Fit.to display, and play... as mentioned, big impact for a short lived show.

how fkn weird is this !

I just started whatching FF last night !!!! ...on Netflix ..... I thought it was shite !Ugh

ill perservere with it though cos all you mofo`s keep bloody raving on about it .

and I thought the movie was mediocre at best .


mind you though ..I`d pork that bint that plays the pro in it ..wasn`t she in V ?

nope... I don't think so ..I watched 3 more episodes last night ...I im still struggling with it ...even to the point were im considering rating ironsky to be a better waste of my time than firefly ...I truly cannot see the hype ..and I like my scifi

at least ironsky was honest about itself

The reason it got the following it did was because the writing was good, the effects were stunningly good for network television at the time. The Battlestar Galactica VFX guys watched Firefly and said essentially "Holy crap! That's amazing."

Add to it good characters, a sense of humor, a rich back-story to the universe - two cultures "made it" off Earth, America and China - and you have a show that ended too soon. You also had a handful of mysteries cooking: River, Shepard Book's past, Inarra's secret that caused her to leave her place as head...

Anyhow it was good television in a desert of lawyer-doctor-cop shows. Much as I'd hate to admit it, it's not for everyone, either.

I watched Firefly for the first time about a month ago and it was really good. It got an interesting story and characters and the humour was amazing. And Serenity was a pretty epic ending to the series.
