The 2016 Amarr to Jita [5k] Run?

Well I finally convinced my wife to join me for Fanfest 2016, we would have come this year but the mid-March timing didn't work out for us.

She's also an avid runner while I limit myself to 5k runs. Anyway, she asked whether we could organize a 5k run run for the Fanfest participants and their SIsters of EVE.

So I'm posting this here, trying to see if there would be interest and fishing for some good ideas. This is what I have for now:

• Run could take place either on Wednesday the 20th (not sure how easy that would be to do on a weekday) or on Sunday the 24th (running hungover? although the Blue Lagoon would feel awesome after that).

• Stargate signs as distance markers.

• Lots of Nerds with Nerf guns at the Niarja gate.

Comments? Ideas? Suggestions?

Well, everyone will be the size of a Freighter, so it kind of fits.

I only worry about the volcano and the effect of a couple of hundred freighters running around. Another eruption will stop air traffic.

I'd suggest having plenty of the local ambulance service on hand to provide logi support.

They'll be poofy from all the insulation...unless you do an Ice Cube Sliding Regatta.
Get teammates to push your contestant up the track with shuffleboard sticks.

You must know there's no way you'll get a 5k run out of FF participants.

Shoot for a 500m drunken stagger. Or a 50m obese waddle.

Id go for a 5k if i went to fanfest. idk how many people would participate in it though.

find a null sec system and anchor lots of warp bubbles in a long windy path..

grab a fast crusier and run the course of warp bubbles.

maybe do it like the race in stargate sg1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yY8_cO4Eun8

if ccp setup a system in jovi space and run a sort of alliance tourney grand prix once a year. it would be fun.
