So whatever happened with Polarized weapons? Outside of perhaps one or two fairly specific roles are they even really utilized?

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

They failed to be as Stigmatic as people had hoped, and instead have Blighted our market windows with their presence. Never before had a module Polarized the community to such an extent as these had.





Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Team burner missions and some 4 mission blitzing fits. Stealth bombers are the only things it makes sense on in a pvp context.

They are suited only to POS bashing, suicide ganking, and putting on ships that seem extremely unthreatening in a fleet.

That's problem why they restricted it to short-range only.

They're great if your never going to get shot at. So some fleet preparation is required.

Once upon a time the Golem had a Raven hull and it looked good. Then it transformed into a plataduck. The end.

I saw this thread and had to run to Singularity to check this out. I can see ships hidden somewhat in a blob using guns like these. However, we have some pretty sharp people navigating that overview, and hiding in a blob with no resists is iffy at best.

Would the added dps be worth pocket logis for them? That all may be a wash. What's an extra minute or two with the same result, only being safer spending the extra time? Ideas like these leave me scratching my head since there seems to be quite a lot that requires attention, and new guns that bang bigger but rob you of resists? That sounds like something a miner would think of after becoming comatose staring at asteroids too long. Sorry.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

I tried blitzing L3 with polarized HAM in a Cerberus (large shield booster and two boost amplifier), at first it was cool and them BOOM, I got rekt.

I've tried a few variations of the HAMgu fit with polarized weapons, but I found that it's just too dicey.
