Alright,
Beating a dead horse, I know.
But I'm seeing a lot of confusion and I would just like a Dev. that knows exactly what is going on to just clarify where the books will be sold primarily, for the limited edition of course.
I've seen Ikon is getting them,
But then i've also seen Popcultcha is?

As well as that, is it 150 or 200 copies?

Also, a confirmed date. Although, from what I can make out its the 25th?

You really haven't communicated this well...
I understand it is hectic and such but...

Thanks,
Anasasis.

Except, looking everywhere on their site - The pre-order doesn't exist.

*Edit: However, thank-you for linking me. I will have to look into that further.

The thing I just see is... I mean, thanks to the dev who posted it last night and all, but there just was no pre-warning for Aussies, I mean, by the time we would have seen the $300 Price tag, it was 3:30 - 4AM.
Just that little bit more communication would be nice.

And the people who are receiving them for Pre-Orders have no idea, I swear.

“A final 150 units went to IKON publishing in Australia, who will be making them available there.”

I missed that line in the devblog.

I think I read of a few lines down and then saw the big artofneweden.eve.com link.
I clicked on that, saw “Please choose your region”, two big buttons that said “Europe” and “America & Rest of the World” and thought “Well I guess Australia is in ‘Rest of the World’ so that’s sorted then.”

So then I’m in a tired stupor at 1am after an entirely too long day with things to do the next morning. I was upset to have missed out on getting a limited edition copy of Source. I rather wanted this limited edition art book.
I waited anxiously for the server to stop “literally shitting itself” as said by one of the devs on the twitch stream that was live in the other window.
At around 2am I finally get to the order page and am met with a shipping cost that I’m pretty sure was more expensive then both buying AND shipping the 10th Anniversary Collectors Edition.
This caused confusion, frustration and despair, probably exacerbated by sleepiness.

Just trying to paint a picture here...

I mean I feel like I screwed up. But I also feel like CCP or…. bloody well SOMEONE has screwed up even more.

I didn’t order the book via the artofneweden.eve.com

So it’s Ikon publishing… and/or Popcultcha?
Following up those names doesn’t seem to lead anywhere?

This whole thing feels like some Kafkaesque bullshit.
I’m not entirely sure why I’m writing this or if it will lead anywhere.
But I did rather want the book and still do.

Cheers for making this thread Anasasis.

Hey everyone, we apologzie for the confusion. The Limited Edition will be made available on http://www.popcultcha.com.au/. It was planned to go live yesterday, but didn't. We're trying to figure out what happened, but the certainly got 200 units which they will be selling on that site.

I was much the same, I even stayed up to try and catch it on popcultcha the next day, because I did see on the other forum that a couple of CCP members said something about it.

We are meant to be getting a bunch of copies [200] in a store [or two] here. But at this stage it is looking a little bleak. I just hope this all gets sorted. I think they knew the prices would be somewhat jacked.

I too was one of those (unlucky) Aussies who sat up until 4am to try and get my hands on the Limited Edition to be met with a crazy shipping cost. I didn't miss the part in the devblog mentioning IKON, but knowing they are only wholesale I doubted my chances at even finding a copy locally, let alone at all.

I managed to get the same cookie cutter reply from them via email (http://prntscr.com/6jtb04) and then when I called them, they denied the book even existed. The preorder is still not on their site... so I guess we wait until the 25th to see if it shows up at all. I am going to be horribly disappointed if they are holding back copies on purpose.

As some #tweetfleet people could tell, I am not happy at all with the way this has turned out. I understand the challenges of getting something like this stocked half way around the world in such limited runs, but I don't understand at all the inability for Australians to order it straight from the main website.

I order things from all over the world, and for something close to the weight and size of the Limited Edition it has never cost me more than 25USD or 20EURO to have it sent (including the faction polystone raven and megathron models from a few years ago, one from USA and one from Germany). The calculations for shipping are just terrible... even the 10th anniversary box set was cheaper to post!

I am willing to pay the "best beaches in the world" tax, but I expected it to be 20% not 200%.

I guess for now I will pin my hopes on popcultcha.com. If it wasn't for the fact that they appear to be the only people in the country who will have copies of the limited edition, I would never buy from them just because they have already shown terrible customer service.

PS: I know it sounds like a lot of bitching, but I really do love you CCP... I've just got a bad taste in my mouth at the moment.

This is why I worry someone may be holding them...
Sad

Just for the Record, I contacted them multiple ways, got different responses each time.

Via Phone it was basically they don't exist on the site, therefor they don't exist.

Just chatted with Ben at Popcultcha. They have confirmed that they will be getting copies. Should go up on the website today, barring more snafus.
