So when i scan a signature down and jump to another system ..why most i scan it down again ??? Why cant it atleast save what kinda signature it was so i can easily know what that signature is next time i'm there ....besides either way i'm going to write it down on the notepad ...but this way i can be more effective and quicker at scanning without having to copy and paste or write it down .Would be a nice small change to the game and with no negative consequences.

Thats not the point ....my point is to speed up the process of scanning down newer sites
so i can cut the copy and paste or writing it down out ..process of elimination and speeding up
scanning the new sigs that pop up when i come back to that system.

Name the BM by the signature id.

this sounds like self entitlement to me. you can just write down the sig designations and just compare what you have scanned what you havent'. OR you can run the sigs and just remove them altogether.

Scanning was made way to easy when Odyssey released and now you want to make it even easier, no thanks.

I already suggested something like this in the past, the response was basically *your lazy, something that should be a feature anyway is not and your lazy to not use something else that can fill that role instead*

Effort=Reward, the more effort you have to put into something the greater the reward will be.
This change will make things easier for those who are presumably already better at exploration than you and will further diminish the value of the rewards.

sorry i don't agree ...simply saving what type of signatures you have already scanned down is not going to break exploration or devalue it anyway ...

It has in the past, scanning used to be something worth doing, a feeling like you were finding something out that was hidden.
That feeling was lessened a bit with the wormholes: everyone started scanning. Then the new scanning method came in and made it achievable by the extremely lazy. Now very, very little effort is needed to scan down ships, sigs, and wormholes. But at least if you forget to bookmark, you get to do it over. Laziness breeds entitlement.

Pro scanning players used to be in high demand, they had skills beyond the que, now everyone and their pet monkey can scan anything down in no time. Satisfaction? Little to none. Gratification? little to none. Entitlement? off the charts.

Every time a complex side of eve is dumbed down and automated, it just lowers the bar for the next complex facet and the game loses a bit more of its mystery. This idea is not needed and features to save such things are already in game, features which are:

Useable across a much larger range of tasks,
Saveable and easily transferred and shared,
Easy to manage,
Require a voluntary action to save
Punishes you for forgetting something so simple

Thats right, Bookmarking, working as intended, you just have to remember. Its not THAT hard.

It would be nice to have, yes, but you'll find that there is a lot of hostility toward anything that makes scanning even easier than it is now, especially after Odyssey happened. People are bitter over it, and understandably so, since that expansion, for want of a better word, nuked the prices of some staple exploration loot, and made combat probing teletubby-proof.

My advice, try pushing for this again when CCP finally decides to iterate on the mess they left exploration in.

PS: I am refering to the probing mechanics here, I believe the recent adittions to exploration, like the sleeper caches, are quite nice.

If you look at sig distance when you come out of a wh, often you can guess that wh sig correctly if it is something like:

ADS - 1.2 AU

BCA - 3.5 AU

CDA - 6.5 AU

DDS - 6.7 AU
....

Where the closest ranged sig is it.

The moral of the story is that if its difficult to do, theres an opportunity for you to put in some thought and effort and make more money than the next guy who is either unwilling or incapable.
