Confused: Market Buy/Sell Deviation filters

So, I once again made the mistake of hitting enter while doing a mass sell of items and noticed that a few of my items sold at a very very low price...

My filter was on, and my Buy Order Deviation was at -25 and 100, yet it still sold off my goods.

I'm trying to figure out > Which average does the Buy Order Deviation base itself off of?

Is it the regional sell value (which on the item was about 200 isk),
or does it pull from it's own "average" based on the buy orders?

I would have figured it would have been based off the regional sell value as that is what is listed in your inventory.

Any clarification would be awesome.

I don't know the answers that you are looking for. But what I will say is if you are going to be lazy, you might just as well reprocess everything and mass sell the five minerals instead of the hundreds of items of cheap crap. It's harder to do something stupid that way.

Please continue to use mass sell. It fuels the traders for everyone's benefit. Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you everyone for your wonderful, yet worthless info...

ISD Ezwal, thank you for moving this thread...

So, anyone have a more proper response to my question than reprocess everything?

There is no average. The closest Buy order is used to fulfill your sale. Smile

The filters only filter what you see on the market tables, if you choose to sell it at x ISK, it's still going to sell to an order at that price (e: if there's an order high enough).

Thank you!

Seems odd that the Buy Order Filter doesn't run off of some sort of average.
