Cannot Login - Remote Info-file could not be fetched.

HI all

This started 2 days ago without warning and I could not access game through the launcher. When I try I get the error message:-

Remote Info-file could not be fetched.
Http://client.eveonline.com/patches/premium_patchinfoTQ_inc.txt
Please check your internet connection.
If the problem persists, please contact Customer Support by filing a petition.

Thanks to a tip I found I could access the game through the exefile.exe in the bin folder - however since a new patch came out yesterday this option does not work as I now have an incompatible build.

Support ticket filed but no response as yet received.

All other games and interent functions work fine apart from this problem.

Any help appreciated please......sub running out.......

I had the same problem a few months ago, it seems to be a problem with the launcher and the update server.

Every time you start the launcher, it will check to see if there is an update. If it cannot connect successfully to the update server then it will bring up that message.

I don't believe it's the update server itself but, one of the hops to the update server.

My solution was to connect up to a VPN which seemed to connect successfully, after updating the client through the launcher I was able to launch the game from the .exe server.

The problem seems to have been resolved for me, hopefully will clear itself up for you to in the coming days / weeks.
