Quote:
The original model for the Millennium Falcon was changed at the last minute because it too closely resembled the Eagle Transporter ships used in the Space: 1999 television series. The replacement is said to be based on a half-eaten hamburger next to an olive on a toothpick held by George Lucas, which led to staff at ILM referring to the Falcon as "the Porkburger."

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Terrific......after reading about the eagle 1 ship that was on that tv show ( witch was awesome btw) ii now am reminded of my strange but pleasant crush i had on barbera bain. The good ole days.

Destiny always seems decades away, but suddenly it's not decades away; it's right now. But maybe destiny is always right now, right here, right this very instant, maybe.

Star Wars?

I have never seen any of them.

This is not a signature.

The 4th started 1 vs 1 but ended 16 vs 16 (ranked), the 5th was mostly people running away when anyone showed on-grid, with the excuse of needing to train some more skills, and the 6th was mostly DUST action rather than spaceships, although there was an orbital battle at the end at a POS near a moon.

The 1st started with an epic (but pointless) large scale alliance battle with capitals involved, then devolved into almost a planet-side DUST-like young adult emo-drama, which continued through the 2nd and 3rd, with the spaceships only in the orbital support role.

Agreed.

Also some other interesting observations:

Fenrir looks like a Sandcrawler

Rifter is as close as your going to get to an X-Wing

The Minmatar Shuttle is basically a Tie fighter (that model should have been an interceptor imo)

also...

Dominix and Vexor looks like potatos.

Megathron lokos like a Transformer giving itself a bj (you either know what that means or you don't im not explaining it due to being on a public forum)

Rupture looks like a Nail gun.

Caracal looks like a poor Origami model of a bird of prey (Klingon ship) - please CCP make a new Caracal model soon :P

Welll... Caldari ships are named after birds, and the Klingon Bird of Prey is pretty much a bird. It's hard to avoid.

Color me curious. Does the "M" version still include legos?

EDIT: This may spawn a weird M rated forum variation of charades.

Did someone mention "M" rated LEGOs?

Interesting that you look like you're hiding out after sneaking that Lego out where someone would step on it.. Blink

Looks more like a she is shocked at how bad some guy's pick up line was. Half way between hilarity and utter confusion.

A caracal is actually a cat, not a bird.

All they need to do to the caracal is change the wing angle 45 degrees and sweep them a little forward and every trekkie and his brother will flying one and using Kingon in voice comms.

Considering the punishment the Millenium Falcon receives at various times it certainly tanks like a Nyx.

That or the Imperium is really, really bad at ganking (and not only just shooting blasters).
Obviously they do not follow the CODE, James 315 could probably have ended that "New Hope" several times over... (Also not shooting that helpless little life pod right at the start; no true EvE player would ever pass up the chance for more free explosions!)
