In order for bombs to explode, the bomber must remain on grid. If it warps off before it is set to explode, it will just float off into space never arming.

Gives ships a chance to counter bombing runs that are otherwise immune

It's a good idea for a nerf.

But...

If x is the number of bombs that can be launched before they start killing each other, each volley will always be x-dead bombers.

If you overbomb hoping for some bombs to survive, we simply wouldn't bother killing any bombers.

Any fleet with decent anti-support would become bomb immune.

Remember that whenever you have a bad day in EVE, the correct reponse is "Thank you CCP, may I please have another?"

Your still limited to 8 bombers per run, so Amyclas Amatin statement stands.

No. There are plenty of doctrins which are very hard to bomb. And many ways (Check it out to prevent beeing bombed. Stop whining about every ship you find to strong. But it was clear after the endless whining about how strong the tengu/ishtars are and they get finally nerved you whine about the bombers.

But if you give it some thought, bombers are one of the few ships in eve that can give a smaller alliance a chance to counter a big blob.

this sounds like something coming from the end of some one who has either never dealt with bombs or is only coming from the stand point of being bombed fleet with a poor FC

my take on it as well.

My usual advice is actually be in the bomber wings. Try the shoes on for a few miles. Gets you some perspective in any fleet you in after that.

Good fc's I have seen give several warp to's for example. Wing 1 go here, wing 2 here...etc. this way the whole fleet is not landing in a small area. Second thing they did was tell people to space out after landing. Some like me did this instinctively. FC giving the reminders to the others who like to be up some guys ass who is up some others guy ass....then they wonder why the bombers sent them a love package. Hint: bombers like clusters.

Well that an being in a bomber you get the whole brighter karma outlook. Had me some fun in bombers. When bombers attack me I go....guess its their turn to have some fun. You know, the whole cycle of life in eve. Sometimes you get got...someitmes you are the giver.
