Can someone please make the breadcrumb bar fixed and not scroll off the page when you scroll the page? I'll buy you a whole bag of bread crumbs and mail them Iceland in thanks.

I don't know if it would be a Ultra-mini 1 minute fix, but I have taken the liberty of forwarding this idea to CCP.

Now off course I can not tell you if and/or when a reaction will be given or action will be taken by CCP, as I do not know.

This thread has also been moved to Features & Ideas Discussion.

Seriously? Have you tried scrolling up? Maybe using the button on your keyboard labeled "Page Up?" Maybe you should go extreme and use the little thingy that appears in the lower right corner of the forum that looks like a yellow arrow and says, "Top."

Yes seriously. Why should I need to do this *every bloody time* I post something or read something on a forum?
Suggestion: look at just about every bloody web site made by competent web developers since like 2000 and you will see this new a fresh interface idea.

  1. Yeah, insulting the web developers you're trying to get to make a change is a good way to get them to listen to you.
  2. Of the two dozen or so forums I frequent, none have this feature.
  3. Of the websites I frequent that do have the 'I'm to dumb to navigate a web page' bar that stays at the top, it's generally the main menu bar, and not a tree to guide you along the path you took to get where you are now.
  4. If it's too difficult for you to press ctrl and home, which takes you to the top of any page you happen to be looking at, then I suggest you avoid sites where that would be necessary.

Taking a stab at the very persons you would like to implement your idea is on average not the best course of action.
In other words, you just made me regret forwarding this to CCP to look at.

I visit a few different forums and none of them have that. None of them have the current fixed-position bar either. Are you sure you're not just being a greedy goose?

This thread is the result from internet browsers turning away from being browsers and devolving into webpage content rendering engines only. I haven't also seen any other forum which uses traditional forum software (non-modified forum software as such) to have this feature.

The suggested change takes a bit longer than 1 minute to implement and it might sit in the Q&A queue for days or even weeks before going through.

You know, there is also this amazing button called "Home" that immediately takes your screen to the top of a page... no scrolling involved.
