I think it's got nothing to do with Sleepers or Jove or a ray from god, it's probably just an optical illusion or somebody is playing a trick on us and has hacked into our camera drones across all of Eve. That makes a lot more sense...

I wonder how much is being spoon fed and how much is being seeded for explorers to stumble upon.
Unfortunately I think it's mostly the former.

And yes, I was partying pretty hard when I kept seeing the unexplained green blob and OP'd.
