AU TZ and prime time SOV mech.

So I am just wondering with this new primetime system, how much will the AU TZ see in the way of SOV action?

I mean, if someone has their primetime set to early morning AU how will that incorporate the AU TZ? Will there be anything for them to do? I cannot see where the advantage for this in-between TZ (in-between meaning between the US and the EU TZ)...?

If someone has a clarification then that would be great. I just, personally, do not see how much of this change will positively influence conflict in other TZs. I mean as an AU TZ player, I find there is a lot of content around POS and SBU fighting.

Cheers :) o7

the same thing that the russians will do for the USA timezone alliances i'd wager. Alarm clocks for the big things and flying trollceptors to generate big things if you want

well from what I understand, alliances can set their own primetimes, so aussies can likely spend less time grinding sov and do more straight pvp or grinding isk. Sure they'll be less people on for them but they're used to it, so I don't see it really changing much except for their usefulness in acquiring/defending sov.

It'll be easier for you to defend your sov. Considering the nature of the mechanics revealed so far, this should outweight easier taking sov.

We'll most likely split up in smaller Alliances at all if that comes through. Cause otherwise it just makes no sense...

Which is one of the "few" things with the new Sov System which is'nt working at all.

But it seems thats what CCP is wanting us to do... get in a small Alliance and get a second Job.

Yeah I understand the smaller alliance part, but AU TZ alliance? What will that consist of really...
SOV will very rarely change hands. Just like for instance I want to take a European section of space as an AU TZ player, I have to either stay up SUPER late and get it that way (also forcing others of my alliance to do the same) or get up SUPER early to really do anything.

I feel this system is floored in this very basic way. I have had wars over POCOs and lost the strategic objective purely based upon this fact. I mean on a small scale it can make certain space concurable for small alliances that are TZ heavy purely because they dont want to alarm cloak for that one station/SOV grind.
