Talking about cloaky campers, said they are a non issue in wormholes
Said cant confirm nor deny.

i always thought if you were in a cov ops cloaked vessel you should be removed from local if you cloaked up , i mean, you are meant to be stealthy right?

but i very much welcome this change to, i also hope they make a I-hub upgrade that allows you to provide local intel for the owning alliance with this as a defensive tool.

removing local from null is bad
I agree with not seeing a cloak but to know how many people are in a system and what your jumping a fleet into is bad, now large fleets will be moving with minimal sight unless people put alts on all the gates.

-1 more reason for going back to null

DidN't watch the show but I highly doubt he confirmed it nor that CCP would be stupid enough to remove local in null sec.

BTW: The reason cloaky campers a not an issue in wormholes is not that you don't know they are there but that they can't just tackle you, light a cyno and bring in a fleet to kill you.
If there wasn't the danger of a fleet waiting to bridge on top of you, no one would care for a single cloaky camper in null sec either. But it's completly diffrent game mechanics.

Well said. Without cynos, it doesn't matter. Well, it doesn't matter even with them (I pull out a specialzed fit and keep ratting), but their are enough weak risk averse people in null (usually renters) that tink that afk cloaking is some huge concern.

But yea, no local doesn't work in null because of gates (easy access) and cynos/jump portals. Some of my wormhole living buddies don't understand this, mainly because they don't have to deal with the same mechanics as null does.

Prior to 2009/Dominion, cloaky camping wasn't even a concern, Dominion introduced the systems upgrade scheme that created the anomaly farms (and thus, cloaky camping, which existed prior to this but was not so well known). Everything has a cost, and the cost of those anomaly farms was/is cloaky campers.

Exactly.
Lack of local in Worm Holes was a necessary evil for me to have the ISK faucet.
Why would I want to be in Null when I can be in Worm Holes with the same hellish paranoia?

This is a seriously boned headed move. EVE is not meant to be 100% safe for anyone. It should be possible to hunt cloaked ships with specialised ships and methods.

Are some CCP developers deliberately breaking EVE before they go join Riot as a last F- you to the top management?
