Everything you read in a dev blog is subject to change, scrutiny, changes in deployment, and time frames, change in staff overseeing development etc.

So stop overreacting to everything, there is a comments section for each blog. Post your critisims there and what you find wrong with the issue there.

Why Can't I have a picture signature.

Also please support graphical immersion, bring back the art that brought people to EvE online originaly.

But.. without speculation, outrage, misconceptions, overreactions and critisms the forum would be a silly place, much like Camelot.

Do you want the forums to be Camelot? Well? Do you?

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I'm sure everyone will read this and their attitudes will instantly change.

Or maybe not. I could be wrong.

I think one can react and also express disagreement without being called overreacting, when "one" realizes that the core thinking in regards of solving a problem seems to be at the very best lackluster.

Example: Skynet

Dev says:

problem: carriers and super carriers can assign fighter drones to smaller ships while being 100% safe. This generates frustration on victims of players using these mechanics... - right, that's understandable. They are risking very little and can potentially destroy a lot.

solution: remove the assign feature plain and simple - a very simplistic solution which generate new mechanic issues and disagreements among the playerbase

my random 30sec thought solution for the sake of example: keep the assign feature as it is right now. Force carriers and super carriers to be outside of POS shield in order to be able to use the option "assign" (150km away at least). Carriers and super carriers will lose control over drones in space if they happen to warp/fly back to a POS.

What did I take into account with this solution?
*risk vs reward (core game design of eve) is no longer being bypassed as now these carriers could get in big troubles.
*another PVP window (pvp being core game design of eve) for space battle with chances of nasty escalations.
*industry/market gameplay (core game design of eve) will profit just like it does every time additional ships/structures/stations get destroyed.

Then we have the tengu/t3 thing:

Problem suggested by Dev: he didn't clarify any problem. He only wrote he won't let the strongest configurations run rampant without change

Approach by Dev: here the Dev in question starts talking about the problem which is nothing more and less than resilience. He claims that the amount of resilience (together with "plenty" of utility and "ok" signature and damage) is not in line.

Solution by Dev: bring it in line (with what? battle cruiser? tier 1 battleships?) - aren't the tech 3 supposed to have an edge in some regard and this regard right now being only resilience? If this was any coherent and the present mindset of eve balancing, then what are those new t3 destroyer aberrations doing on tranquility?

My suggestion: [insert random 30sec thought suggestion here]

BSs and BCs viability:

Problem: Strong community sentiment that BCs and BSs are not viable currently due to many reasons and main reason being warp speed changes.

Approach: fancy graphic that barely addresses and/or relates -to- the issues.

Solution: none. Devs are fine with the homogenization agenda.

I struggle to follow a straight line, I barely see consistency in the solutions and , therefore, I doubt there is a plan of work that takes balancing seriously while keeping the integrity of the game core (fundamentals, pillars).

They don't even know what they're reacting to. Some "reacters" are reacting 'cause they think it makes them look smart. The people who could comment on the real dynamics involved left years ago. When the gaggle of geese honk, telling them to shut up just makes them honk louder. That's why a certain demographic calls them "honkies."

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

for the big changes usually reasonably true. Although for a few changes, with the new release cycle... the dev blog comes out right before the patch and no way to change a thing.

It's so easy for people who are not affected. Do you live in 0.0 ? Have you got at least one capital ?
Stop trolling guys !

After jump fatigue and cap jump range nerfs they think that is not enough ?

Seriously, how can't we just gone mad by reading bullshits like these :

Quote:
Goal #3: Minimize the systemic pressure to bring more people or larger ships than would be required to simply defeat your enemies on the field of battle.

Quote:
Goal #6: Spread the largest Sovereignty battles over multiple star systems to take advantage of New Eden’s varied geography and to better manage server load.

How can we stay calm ????

The only think I am thinking about is, why jita and whole empire isn't burning yet ?

Seems that thinking about disabling drone assist on anyone which is not on the ship targeting range was too complicated for CCP? Bear

Instead they prefer to remove assist & warp of the bad fighters Evil

I don't want to **** on anybody's parade, but...there's a few things about null sec that "owning a titan" just doesn't excuse. If your owning a titan bolluxes up the game, then getting rid of titans is the answer and we'll just have to listen to the titan owners cry about all they've lost. Read it and weep.

However, titans have only been altered and their use more sharply defined. The range to use them promiscuously has been narrowed and that seems like a good thing. This should make them more valuable, not less. However, using them will now require a lot more thought and planning. It won't be something you can willy nilly slosh around like
a bucket of water.

Rather than crying about how easy it used to be ain't so easy anymore, it seems the intelligent move would be to set about and become proficient with how they can be used now.

PS I've never owned a supersonic fighter jet either, but you sonic boom over my house, you'll be hearing from my attorney.

The right to free speech doesn't automatically carry with it the right to be taken seriously.
