Black Holes: Perma-TiDi

Black Holes are sort-of interesting with their speed, inertia, and missile modifiers but could use something else. Some may know that as black holes suck in mass, light, and gravity, it affects time so that the closer one is to the event horizon the slower time is relative to our standard. That being said, I'd like to see perma-TiDi be a part of them with a minimal amount taking effect in Class 1 wormholes, and rising by 7.5% per class. For example:

  • C1: 95%
  • C2: 87.5%
  • C3: 80%
  • C4: 72.5%
  • C5: 65%
  • C6: 57.5%

An alternative would be to introduce reverse TiDi (see: NEO2 - Day 1, Match 7: 8 CAS vs Kolbasz Inside), thereby increasing the speed. As is said by Fozzie during the video linked earlier, reverse TiDi provides an opportunity to really engage in twitch gameplay. That, coupled with the various gang types typically used in wormholes, I think we'd see some really interesting fights as a result. Here would be my suggestion for the percentage of reverse-TiDi per class:

  • C1: 1.1x
  • C2: 1.18x
  • C3: 1.26x
  • C4: 1.34x
  • C5: 1.42x
  • C6: 1.5x

No offense but who would WANT to live in perma-TiDi?

The reversed however, seems interesting, along as it doesn't effect timers.

+1, reverse TIDI would be AWESOME, would be a bit of a problem with large fleet engagements, buut otherwise, awesome. Maybe only for frigate only holes?

Shocked there are really people who want tidi. The only thing is can read from this post is somebody can“t do all the things at normal speed and want to have tidi to make the game more easy for him.

Reverse-TiDi is a coll idea, but it should force holes to degrade faster, POSes running out of fuel, shorter reinforce timers. To balance farm opportunities sites may actually spawn with lower frequency.

If you like tidi so much you need more people.

I'd also suggest you use your null-static to make a jump into Deklein and start shooting a station, tidi will follow shortly.

While it is true that the gravity generated by black holes affects the relative passage of time within said gravitational fields, it is 'relative' to the viewers postition with regards to those fields.

If you are in the Black Hole, time would pass as normal for you, while someone watching you from far away would see you slow down. Meanwhile, were you to look back at the person watching you from afar, you would see them speed up.

This is actually a little similar to how TiDi works already. Reverse TiDi, while a funky concept, just doesn't really have a place in EVE. I have experienced quite a bit of TiDi during the last 6 months or so I have spent in null, and I have no desire to see it any more than is absolutely necessary.

Good try though, but it's kind of like when Sheldon got told his maths was out by Hawking...
