Where to put my Customs Office?

I've been flying around for the past two days or so trying to find a planet that I can launch my Customs Office, but I can't find an available spot so far. I take it that pretty much every planet is taken.

HS/LS/NS/WH space?

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

Yep. At least all the "decent" planets. You need to do some research and find a customs office owned by an inactive corp, or find some carebears who placed customs offices but don't have the ability or will to defend them. Then you have to kill the existing customs office (which requires showing up for a timer). THEN you have to place your own. THEN you have to hope no one comes and kills yours.

Or - you could use diplomacy and try to negotiate either standings with the owners of customs offices (tax rate is dependent on standings), or buy the office outright.

As you can see, the multiplayer aspect of EVE cannot be ignored when it comes to customs offices.

A little tip - high sec planets are crap. Low sec planets are meh. Null sec (including wormhole) planets are awesome. You'll find lots of free and/or undefended planets in nullsec, but obviously you'll be taking a risk when you're removing the current office or every time you travel to your planet to do PI. No risk, no reward.

If you mean what spots I've been looking then I've been looking in areas from 0.5 - 1.0. Im little nervous to go in areas below 0.5. Although I could go into some cheap ship and explore below 0.5.

You will either have to cut a deal with the owners or get a merc corp to blow it up. Not many spots with no office if any.

Pretty much covers all of it.

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Train for a cloaky hauler/blockade runner. Learn to fly it. Escape from any camp 9 times out of 10.

There's not a single system in high-sec that has an available place to deploy a customs office. And I imagine that low-sec is not that far off, either.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

The above pretty much covers it except one thing:

If low or null sex isn't your thing, depending on where it is, I might be interest ed in buying your gantry. Mail me in game if interested

if you just want to do PI, then just find a POCO with less than 10% to 15% tax, beyond that is not worth it, imho.

but then again, i've read somewhere that high sec PI yield is the least among all the secs., so try Low Sec. we own all the moons in Fliet and Deven systems and offers 10% tax.

A) Not worth it unless you don't mind your ROI taking into... well.. 2025? maybe? or if your 30,000 member alliance is sure to use it daily.

B) Not worth the time and effort to bring one down to replace unless (see above)

C) Not worth the effort. You will be wardec'd within a week and lose it anyway.

I can suggest a place to put it, but you may have trouble sitting. Cool

Blow up the existing customs office and put one there.
