So I've been flying a Thanatos lately for ratting and figured I'd see if there is a way to better my tactics and my fit for that matter.

Typically what I do is warp to a Forsaken Hub/Haven and start target NPC with all fighters, I do not group at all I just fling all fighters at one target which I'm not sure is the most efficient per say. During this I keep fully aligned without breaking at all, incase a neut comes in. Typically by the time I am done the site I would still be within range to rep the drones incase they get agro while practically being for immune from being killed.

What should I do better? Currently I'm getting around 25m ticks pretty much running Havens and Forsaken Hubs, how much more would I get in a Sanctum? Currently I don't have access to Sanctums but hopefully soon I will, in the case I do should is there a certain fit more efficient? How do you rat in your carrier?

Sickening thing is that this might work.

The fit is okay...but at least use T2 omnis. You'll get better ISK/tick by dropping the cloak and fitting another DCU. The cloak murders your lock time and makes fighter ratting even more painful than it already is.

I actually used to rat in a Nidhoggur fitted like this:

Additional drones to taste. It's a little slower than a Thanatos, but the concept is the same. In safe space (paying attention to intel, having an emergency cyno ready, not be asleep...), you can easily sentry rat with little difficulty. I only advise that if you're confident in your GTFO ability, though. There's really no need for the expensive T2 rigs (two of which could pay for another carrier after insurance, tbh) because the repairer will only be pulsed when required. It often took 2-3 anoms before my shields were depleted anyway.
