[quote=ShahFluffers]Armor Repair Units (which compete with Speed and Damage Enhancement mods)

Shield Boosters (which compete with Electronic Warfare, Utility, and Propulsion modules)
Shields also auto-regen... but very, very slowly.

And all of the above compete with the actual Weapons themselves because they all draw from the same CPU and Powergrid "pools."

Question... are you new to this game? This is all "ship fitting 101" stuff and you seem not to be getting it.[/quote

No, but there is room for improvement for the solo pilot. Thats the point.

And you seem to be missing everyone else's points.

Any "advantage" you give to a solo pilot can also be used by everyone else... including those working together...because, mechanically speaking, they are "solo" too. They just happen to be shooting at the same thing.

Go back and read what Zan Shiro posted.
He pointed out that if everyone can tank more, the soloist is still not going to be able to kill anyone. Because they will also be sporting the same size tanks.

I also pointed out that CCP once tried giving ALL ships bigger tanks... and it only resulted in more blobbing. And ships continued to die just as quickly as before.

Welcome to EVE where being "one man against an army" does not produce a Hollywood blockbuster... merely a predictable result (unless you plan out your tactics better than the horde).

You may very well die but you will be hard to take out and you may take out an enemy ship or two (thats defense bonus only)and you may take some targets out in the fight and that would be fun for alot of people.

Fit a Raven with rapid assaults, tackle, painters and active tank. That will do just fine knocking little ships out of space. Sure you may die but it's fun.

That's pretty intetesting how OP keeps stay on "his ground" of utopic idea and not taking into the view what he've been told by others.
It is absolutely right if his perfect solo defender meets group of similar to his ship it's done deal.

"The message is that there are known knowns. There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know" - CCP
