I'm very impressed decent tank, cap independent weapons systems and ~800 dps with my mediocre drone skills.

Glia: non-neuron support cells of the nervous system that act to protect myelin and generally play the role of a nervous system-specific immune system. May contribute to amyloid plaques associated with Alzheimer's though the mechanism is still unknown and widely debated.

Gila: various uses referring to a region of Arizona and northern Mexico, most commonly associated with the gila river and the gila monster, a venemous lizard (and likely the reference intended by CCP in naming said ship).

Both interesting on their own merits. One would expect Glia to be a more appropriate name for an SoE ship if this is all to be believed.

Gila is a monster (no pun intended) - like you said, good tank and great DPS. It's also got a 145 signature and can hit 600 m/s + with a crappy afterburner and is pretty easy to make cap stable (if that's your thing).

The only downside on it is the same as all small drone boats - a reliance on DPS that can be taken off the field. You have 5 waves of hammers before your DPS drops by 78%.

those 2 med drones have the EHP of a super tanked frig, would take a decent amount of alpha or a small gang to take them out with any speed.

5 waves worth of that.

What was said up above.

The totally ehp for five flights of hammers, is 66K.

You literally fighting two cruisers if you try to 'solo' a gila.

Thing is no one in thier right mind will engage u solo. Hopefully a small gang would try... All they will see is fire.

If the gila is out of your range you can at least scram-kite his drones beyond 7000m. The guristas ships invest the power of many drones in to one which amongst other things provides an avenue for disabling those drones entirely forcing either a recall or to whelp one at a time ineffectually.
