Don't let the blue "Dev" tag mislead you: CCP Falcon isn't a developer. He is the "Community Manager" (or perhaps *a* Community Manager; I'm a little unclear if that's a shared title). It's an integral part of his job to keep us informed.

Actually, I'd be rather annoyed if a developer were in here giving us updates instead of addressing the problem itself.

Someone posted like 15 pages back that they managed to get all their **** done, like all the cleaning, tidying and feeding creatures etc and I just want to say thanks CCP, cos my flat is now super ******* tidy. All the washing up is done, I've folded the laundry, done another wash and hung it up, cleaned the kitchen and the bathroom and I have nothing further to clean.

So on the basis that my flat is tidy, please may I play EVE now Mum? Big smile

It amazes me how many people are whining over some downtime. 3 days in a row, OK it sucks, it happens. Go read your service agreement for your ISP and ***** next time something takes your Internet offline for 6 hours. Stuff happens, and if I recall over the last 2-3 years how much downtime has happened it's pretty damned low.

These people are obviously the people that call the power company to complain when a tree or accident has taken out their power.

WOW and my ISP have been down a lot more over the last 6 months than CCP/EVE have been in 2 years. Period.

CCP Falcon, thanks for all the updates! This is some very good customer service you're providing! Rarely these days do I see updates so frequently on an issue. Take your time fixing it and keep dem updates coming!

PRO TIP:

When using the "turn it off and then back on again" method, please also physically unplug the power supply cable from the rear of the server, and leave in unplugged for 10 seconds. Then plug it back in and restart the server.

See how that works for you.

If that doesn't work, get back to me and I'll go through the "jiggling all the wires at the back of the server" procedure.

Hopefully it will no take too long anymore.
