For those of you who do not know me, I run a venue, called the Elysion.
It is my vision that this will become a neutral haven for all in new Eden to meet and mingle, regardless of affiliation or background. My only request is that arguments be left at the door. Violence, narcotics and uncivil behaviour will not be tolerated.
As part of this endeavour the venue now hosts a conference room. I hope that this will provide those of differing viewpoints a place to meet and discuss without threat of violence.
Those wishing to take up this offer should contact me or a member of my corporation, in order that arrangements may be made. All security at the venue will be arranged by my head of security.

Hey, everybody, hey, listen, hey, I've got a good idea.

Let's not applaud the creation of a conference venue that might be useful to discuss things civilly.

Let's instead complain that Narcotic X isn't allowed, and generally be unconstructive about the whole endeavour.

I'm sure that'll really help raise the tone of the IGS.

Stop making me like your posts Ms. Valate. I might forget you are a heretic who needs to be hunted down and executed and imprisoned and tried (not necessarily in that order).

Neutraility is for dummies! Plus, I am non compliant to the image a proper speaker must keep for herself and would probably spend the whole day saying silly things! And that's why I refrain to pester all the proper channels!

Miss Ember,

I, for one, had an excellent time when I visited your fine establishment. Please ignore the rabble and their petty complaints. You are doing good work.

Thank you again for your hospitality.

That being said, you are welcome to join us again at the Elysion. Dryweed free of course, and discuss this further over a drink or something to eat.
Understood, except for the quoted part (emphasis mine).

I would like to clarify that this is not a grievance, and if pointing at what I consider to be inconsistencies is considered unconstructive, then I'm not sure if I can agree.
My visits to The Elysion have been very enjoyable, in part because of the comfortable atmosphere. I'm not sure if projecting this atmosphere is actually neutrality, though.

Much love to The Elysion folks,

It's not the atmosphere that contributes to the neutrality, but the neutrality that contributes to the atmosphere.

Greetings,

Would this "Elsysion" welcome anyone? Even an Amarrian Capsuleer? I ask as this location, as Miss Kim has stated, is in a Federation Naval installation.. I do not fear attack.. But i do not wish to spark anything with my presence..

Humble regards, Eli Sariah

Ashaltiasten Eli Sariah,

I have visited the Elysion on occassion and have never once found myself subjected to rude behaviour from either the staff or the patrons.

I commend Ms. Ember on running such an amenable venue. Of course there is a certain... liberality in social interactions that the open nature of the venue promotes, this may not perhaps be entirely proper, however if one can overlook that I have found the Elysion to be among the best venues outside the Empire.

Ashaltiasten,

Oh I am no lord, doctor is as high an honour as I have had - not including my old navy rank - and I sincerely hope our paths will cross. Should you ever wish to get in contact with me my contact details are publicly available on my Neocom biography.

I am sure Ms. Ember shan't be too long in extending a formal invitation, though I am sure such formalities are not needed the venue is a relaxed one.

By His light and His will, blessings for your day, and may He watch your travels.

I apologize, i am still used to the Academy, a doctor is still a fine title, and a rare one among Capsuleers, i hope you were it proud, and same to your Navy history, it is good to see someone who served our people in one of the most noble of ways, i shall make a point of collecting your contact details.

Formalities are something i still value highly, plus, I would prefer to say i was invited then i just showed up, at least for the first time, however thank you for letting me know Arkon Sarain.

My point was that to claim neutrality you should first pick a neutral installation. Definitely not a hostile military base.

Mr. Sariah,

As Dr. Sarain mentioned, all are welcome in Elysion as long as they respect the neutrality and peaceful nature of the venue.

I understand that we all have our personal quirks, and if it would make you more comfortable to have a formal invitation, I would be honored to extend that invitation to you. Please visit us at your convenience. I am not sure if you imbibe, but our wine selection is quite diverse and well-stocked. If you are not, then we do have a fine selection of teas.

If you are in need of coordinates, please do not hesitate to contact a member of Repracor. Or simply ask in The Good Word or The Summit comm channels; the chances are there will be someone who can provide them.

We look forward to seeing you.

Wherever I chose to situate myself, there would be those who found flaw in the supposed neutrality of the arrangement. I chose as I have as my own actions have extended me sufficient trust and leeway to conduct my affairs in my own fashion.

As far as formal invitations go, consider this a formal invitation to attend, until of course the next event is hosted.

With amount of blasphemers and other people, who insult other's beliefs, can you tell us, will we be protected against blasphemers there?

That only applies in active war zones for obvious reasons of operational security. No such restrictions are in place here and I've been assured that my guests will be treated with respect.

Very well pointed Lady Hanaya, but, and i mean no respect, but this is how i approach this situation when i find myself in it. This venue is located in Gallente space, with Gallente citizens, whom, with all respect, are very proud of there way of life, while they welcome outsiders for the most part, they do not welcome people who are.. Close minded, now, this is fortunate as it gives us the opportunity to show them that not all Amarrians are the same, we are not like those they have heard of from the wars, if we can show them we are cool, calculate and do not show disrespect to their ways, then they will not be blasphemous, and they will extend the same respect to us, as we will have earn't it so to say, as, we are effectively in there home, under peaceful terms, if the situation was reversed then I'm sure it would be much the same for us, we must show we are the true light of the His will, and that we are a shining beacon of understanding, resolution, and strength. But we must make that first step.

I mean no disrespect either Lady Hanaya, i agree with you perfectly, but the only protection we have is ourselves, use it as a test of how strong your faith can be, and show them you will no be cowed by their "insults" of which i highly doubt there will be within a peaceful environment, i have been informed they are welcoming to our people, but none the less, be strong, show you can respect them, then, they will respect you.
