Use T3 destroyer modes, but with some more versatility with five sub-systems
1 - Role
2 - Speciality
3 - Mode 1
4 - Mode 2
5 - Mode 3

Hello Caps. Just wanted to know if anyone knows when CCP plans to change the T3 cruisers before I start skill planning.

Probably right around the time I'm done training for them.

This is likely. I cross-trained to Amarr (years ago) when they were all the rage, then cross-trained to Minmatar and completed all that by the time Rails and Blasters got buffed and... well, I could then finally fly Gallente hulls to PvP - the ones I started with like 8 years ago.

The upside is that if you keep doing this for enough years, you are eventually trained for everything that has PvP applications and become nerf-immune.

The downside is that getting to that point will take years...

You'll end up doing ship spinning in the end.

Thanks for all the advice. I also heard that Rice has it in for the Tengu and is destine to be nerf real soon which is bad as I was headed in that direction. Now What?? This game is hard enough as it is but with all these sudden changes it makes it almost impossible for new players to get involve in the fun of the game. Well maybe I'll cross train into a Sacrilege but I doubt it can solo C3's like a Tengu does.......sigh. Idk this game is getting too complicated with all these sudden changes. Do anyone know for certain that the Tengu is getting hit with the nerfbat?

I think most ships in the game should have the ability to install subsystems, while Tactical ships should adopt the "change on the fly" system, introduced with T3 destroyers, as the situation requires.

Think of the amount of customization and diversity this change would bring to the game. Not to mention the introduction of new subsystems for mining/industry or for capitals.

It is likely Tengu will still remain a viable PvE boat, and if not, why not train for Cerberus and/or Gila while you are at it? t2 cruisers and faction cruiser can get you far and need many of the same skills as Tengu does.

Frankly, the fact that they're doing an "emergency patch" to one of the T3 tells me that T3 rebalance/rethink is a long way off still.

I see no logic where it would make sense to change something drastically (albeit numerical) to one specific T3 while there's a massive/major rebalance a month away, even more so because the Tengu issue isn't something new or sudden.

I can see all T3's getting changes as they're pretty much only ones that CCP hasn't changed in long time and said they would.
