Press Release 117.02.12
Sortet V - Moon 1 - Federal Navy Assembly Plant

Good evening.

On behalf of Repracor Industries [RPCIN] and The Synenose Accord [SYNE], I am pleased to announce the details of the Fourth Seyllin Conference. The Fourth Seyllin Conference will be held on the surface of Seyllin III at a privately owned research station from 117.02.28 through 117.03.01.

DETAILS

- As has become tradition, the conference will be held on Seyllin III in the Thoulde constellation of the Essence region. The private research station offers full amenities for presenters and attendees alike. Docking services and accomodations are available nearby at Roden Shipyards Factory at Seyllin VI-3 and CreoDon Warehouse at Seyllin VIII-14. InterBus service will be available in and out of the system. The research station has upgraded its fluid router backbone, and we are happy to announce that the conference will support virtual attendees.

- The main event will be across two sessions. The first session will be on Saturday, 117.02.28, from 19:00 to 00:00 Standard Time. The second session will be on Sunday, 117.03.01, from 19:00 to 22:00 Standard Time.

- Preceeding the main conference sessions, there will be a four-day "Trades and Sciences Fair" from Tuesday, 117.02.24, through Friday, 117.02.27. This fair will essentially be an open house in the lobby are of the research station for anyone to set up a stall and/or exhibition.

- The main event days will have six and four conference slots, respectively, of 30 minutes each for selected speakers. We have allowed extra time in case of extensive questioning, and some time to socialise.

- The first and last 30 minutes of each session will be for introductory/keynote and endnote speeches.

- The purpose of the conference is to provide a place for the sharing and advancement of current and future scientific findings and research. As such, political agendas and grudges have no place here. Parties found to be counterproductive to this type of environment will be ejected from the conference.

SUBMISSIONS

We are looking forward to submissions from presenters both old and new. The process is as follows:

- Post on this announcement thread and confirm you wish to submit a presentation. If you have posted previously in the original Fourth Seyllin Conference thread, please repost here.

- Mail a brief summary (including any special requirements or staffing) to Jennifer Starfall, N'maro Makari, and Morwen Lagann.

- One of us will mail back to confirm we have received your submission. If you receive no such response within 24 hours, please post here again.

- If you are confirmed and assigned a slot, you will receive another mail. Please do not disclose that you have received it.

- Submissions will be closed at 23:59 on 117.02.24. The final schedule will be published then.

On behalf of Repracor Industries and The Synnenose Accord, thank you, and we'll see you on Seyllin.

Hello there.

I'd be very interested in attending, and would like to make a presentation on Arek'Jaalan's research efforts, and the current new developments around the cluster, but specifically the ones AJ's been focusing on.

Thank you,

I would be delighted to present some of SYNE's previous report and some new hypothesis based on Carolina's Star and many of the discoveries therein.

I will send my summary to the Committee as soon as possible.

Oh is this finally going ahead ?

So, what sort of topics are y'all going to submit ?

Is it just all about this whole Thera hooha, with these Seekers, and all that malarkey ?

I assume attendance is open? If so, save a chair for me.
Or, I can even bring my own.

All are welcome to attend, Ms. Via.

Dr. Valate, I would not be surprised if Thera figures prominently, as well as Sleepers, Circadian Seekers and the cloaked structures scattered throughout New Eden. I'm sure we'll find at least one or two surprising subjects submitted.

Dr. Revan, we're looking forward to your submission.

I would like to re-iterate what Ms Starfall said, and also direct you to the previous announcement thread on the topic on the variety of presentations:

Quote:
On that note, it bears mentioning while all topics have the right and will be considered on their merits, one with relevance to current events, or ones which have groundbreaking implications will have priority. However, we are considering conciliations to projects that do not make it to the main stage, such as fringe events or priority for a place at the next conference. Other options will be considered and suggestions are welcome. We do not wish alienate anyone with an idea.

We will be looking towards variety to avoid monotony and provide platform to interesting ideas, but we will also be keeping our eye out for topics with relevance to current events.

I'd like to present a topic on successful Colonization, but I have to be honest in that I'm not sure I can put something together in time. Let me see what I can come up with.

I am very much looking forward to attending.

I would enjoy attending in function as a reporter, to publish the information shared in the Seylinn incident to the greater capsuleer community.

Unfortunately, due to certain personal issues and time constraints, I fear I will have to withdraw my request to present at this time.

Thank you for the consideration, I look forward to attending, nonetheless.

There is just a little over 24 hours left before the submission deadline. If you haven't submitted your formal proposal, please do so as soon as possible.

I would also like to re-iterate that all are welcome to attend, on the provision that they honor the peaceful, neutral nature of the event.

As about my withdrawal, I believe I owe you all an explanation.

After admission of someone like Morwen Lagann into the conference committee, the conference has lost its all credibility, and can't be considered as impartial or serious event anymore.

I would like to bring my apologies to Ms. Starfall and all those, who have expected me to present the material. Unfortunately, I will have to present it in a different format now.

Please excuse me,
D. Kim, Strike Cmdr.

Apology accepted. It's a pity you couldn't deliver on the promises made.
