Hi guys

Quick question

Does any one know if 250km is the max target range for any ship?

Also if not then is it possible to be boosted over this without using gang mods.

Thanks in advanced for the info!

That's the max range I remember from a decade ago - I think it had to do with grid formation/structure at that time.

Most likely not; that's one of Eve's legacy things that still exist. Unlike 8 heat sink Armageddons. Cry

Yes, the answer is no.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

Max targetting range for a given ship, given remote Sensor Boosters...etc, is a number which can theoretically increase infinitely... However 249km (IIRC) is a hard cap on locking. You can never lock a target beyond that hard cap regardless of the max lock range of your ship.
There is a distinction between the two - the max lock range of a ship and the maximum range at which a ship can lock... though it's negligible in any practical consideration.

It is not possible pass the hard cap - regardless of the number of range scripted sensor boosters, the number of sig amps, the number of remote sensor boosters or the strength of any environmental effects.
