Funny Moments while doing Plexes.

I thought I would share some experiences I've had while running around in my suicide heron.


  1. Standard Covert Site (Ghost Site) - I proceed to scan down the containers; Omega Ascendancy?!! More Ascendance everywhere - This will be awesome. In a Rush to do the site I MWD over to the container, activate my Data module and proceed to hack and suddenly an explosion rings out. I had slingshotted myself out of range failing the hack - Good game Sean Parisi

  2. Standard Sleepers Cache - Excellent, I warp in on target - lets investigate. I notice the rift is open, so someone must have passed through earlier. Well I might as well give it a look to see what happens. The Heron explodes, an extermination unit was present in all its giant vacuum cleaner goodness.

  3. Running a site - Appears there is an enemy on scan, this could get dicey. My alt comes in with his condor and points the enemy in their Deimos. Being jammed out the Deimos is unable to assign drones or fire back, as he is PvP fit he succumbs to the rats DPS.

  4. Heron is hacking another Standard Cover Site (How many can there be!). A Daredevil lands on me. Purposefully I fail the hack, No more daredevil.


Anyways, I just thought it would be good to share some mistakes I've made and I'm curious to hear if anyone else has any other stories they'd like to share.

scanned down a plex before with a mtu and what was left of a pair of ishtars inside...made me giggle

    Step 1, get into superior sleeper cache
    Step 2, get into the second pocket
    Step 3, wait for gankers, bigger the blob better
    Step 4, let em tackle you
    Step 5, Shoot explosive thing
    Step 6, Loot em all
    Step 7, find another superior chache
    Step 8, go to Step 1

    I was running a Phi Outpost in highsec in my Ishtar. In the second room I had dropped an mtu and was shooting the battleship. A Stratios comes in and starts shooting my mtu. He had also targeted me expecting me to take the bait. I pull it back in, finish the battleship and fly to the wreck before he can steal it. Somewhere in there he messed up and shot at me. Concord shows up and takes him out.

    He lost about 950m worth of ship and modules for his troubles and I got 4x the loot than the site was going to give me.

    - The first time I ran a Limited Sleeper Cache and was trying to hack the bubble, I had an Anathema come up and park next to me. I ended up failing the hack, he blew up, my tanky Astero survived. Being the first time I ran the site I wasn't sure what had happened exactly, but I was laughing my ass off as he was accusing me of intentionally blowing him up in local.

    - Was running a hisec 4/10 shortly after the Mordus ships had just been added into the game. An Orthrus is in there with me and we're both shooting at the tower and just as the tower pops, so does he. There are no scramming rats in there so I'm not sure how he let that happen. But that Orthrus was totally blinged out with faction shield tank modules, navy missile launchers, navy BCS, etc. I ended up scooping about 600mil from that wreck in addition to whatever was in the tower.

    - I'm scanning down a signature in hisec, I feel like it could be a Guristas 4/10. Then bloop, it despawns before I can peg it down. Someone beat me to it. Dammit! So I switch to combat probes to try to quickly scan down the ship... just so I can warp in and see if it was indeed a 4/10. To make myself feel worse I guess. I scan the ship, initiate warp, get a 4/10 pop up. Yep. Ugh! Hmm, Ishtar on dscan... maybe he's one of those idiots that sits at the warp-in with Gardes out and kills every last rat in there before scooping the loot. I overheat my MWD and burn to the gate. When I land... the tower is still there.... What the? How can that be? The site only despawns once the tower is popped... Oh well, whatever... I burn to the tower and grab the loot (c-type invuln) as the tower pops, going suspect in the process. He shoots me, so I blow him up and loot a few more faction mods from him. Eventually I realized I wasn't in the site that disappeared at all. He was running a private 4/10 expedition from a Refuge. His expedition just happened to be right near the signature I had been trying to pin down. Crazy luck.

    Doing some site out in null. I forget the name, but there are 3 fleets spread around and they sit dormant until you agro them. 1 of the fleets has 2 scram frigs in it.
    Almost as soon as I land, local does a +1 and I soon see probes on D-scan. It's a Domi.
    As he comes through the gate, I shoot 1 ship from each fleet and warp off.

    Maybe 30 seconds later I see his wreck and his pod on D-scan.
    Wish I coulda whoored on the mail somehow...
