Nah guys, love >>> all.

If one - or both - partners are morons, yes you may have some problems, but that ain't love's fault.

Make space glamorous! Is EVE dying or not? Ask the EVE-O Death-o-meter!

Lust would have to be a close second, though it's longevity is questionable in comparison.

I interpreted this as incredibly sarcastic, but hey it's best to err on the side of discussion, especially here.

On its own, love fails because it's not quantified into more concrete ideas. Things like commitment and dedication, and devotion. Love is a rather vague ideal, and as far as roadmaps go it's pretty shoddy over the course of years, decades.

That's the type of simplistic thinking and planning that causes burnout.

Why am I not surprised to find someone being irrational in this topic.

My 24-year relationship (9 married) doesn't fit with your worldview. On the other hand, my two ugly divorces probably do fit your viewpoint. Thankfully, YMMV and mine does.

Love and attraction is subrational, perhaps even biological. You can't simply choose to love someone romantically because it rationally, or realistically, makes sense to do so. Then it wouldn't even be love, it would be politics. Now love says nothing about compatibility or moral character or circumstance, and of course it doesn't always work out between two people. That doesn't disprove that love is an emotional force that transcends (or subverts, depending on your point of view) rational thought.

That 60+ dating scene, man, how do you stay settled down in such a meat market. And that Tinder action, dude I'm so jealous. Must be nice having the option of going to Denny's for the first date and pay, knowing you'll get a discount.

What's up with your avatar? You're a black white dude, the opposite of Michael Jackson. Did you catch Vitinegro?
