White cloud obscuring text.

I've noticed in Amarr and surrounding areas there is a white cloud looking thing in the background in one direction, this makes it impossible to see the white text and if a module is active etc etc.

I haven't seen any threads on this so it could be something in my settings, does anyone know how to remove or darken the background without adjusting the screen settings?

I have searched in here and in esc menu but can't find anything that helps with this problem.

Its a combination of your theme and your transparency settings on your UI- you can change those up under options to make it interfere less and keep your UI visible.

I have set it to zero transparancy so I can always read the text in widows, it's module activation white thing that circles the module icon, locked target text, the white text you get for damage that is obscured.

I'll link a screenshot when I get the chance.

Swing your camera view around so it's dark. All you need to know is in your overview.
Thousands of pilots have been uselessly lost 'cause they looked out the windshield
not at their instruments.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

That's the way Amarr is. Pitch black to where you can't even see your ship in one direction, and jarring hyper-bright cloud / Nebulae to the point where you can't see your UI in the other.

I think you're supposed to just turn off / minimize all actual game elements and just look at the pretty pictures as you go through Amarr space.

Probably would post this in F&I not GD.

Some of the effects/nebula's are imho, too bright. There's also several missions where parts of it are just a whiteout :/

I have the same problem in Caldari hisec. I am constantly having to pan my camera away from the action so that I can see what my modules are doing. I guess CCP wasn't content with how inconsequential graphics already were in this game, and wanted to make things even more abstract.

This has been brought up a few times before.
Unfortunately CCP is incapable of putting a black circle as a background for the indicator so it stands out against bright light sources.

It must be a ploy to get people to move out of Amarr space. Surely can't be an oversight.

It's a pity you can't disable background, all these things in the background only add a few "ooooh pretty" moments before you realise that it acually hinders game play and detracts from the game as a whole.

Yeah, can be really annoying.

Was a Dev a few weeks ago who said he would look into this.
Hope he did with his sunglasses on.

Uh, what? I really hope you don't believe that's the case. It would suck for someone to listen to that before attempting to pilot a nano ship.
