Another warfare links suggestion.

Currently warfare links can make ships do things breaking any game balance and are rightfully a reason for many tears.
I suggest giving warfare links temporary skill point/skill level bonuses (which could be pre selected in a menue) to sort of level the playing field between linked and unlinked players, while at the same time still providing a very strong bonus.
For example if a new player knows hes going to fly a damp support ship in a kiting fleet which heavily relies on speed to maintain range he can split the bonuses between his navigation and damp skills which match his role.
There could be added a bit of flavour to the system so that different links affect different skills. Of course links shouldnt be able to upgrade a skill beyond lvl 5.
The same pilot flies with his friends out again but now in a t1 kiting Cruiser with notoriously bad capacitor and he doesnt have a cap booster fit. He decides to spend all his temporary bonus skillpoints/skill lvls on skills reducing the cap used by his propulsion module and increasing his ship capacitor.

Reported for A) useless rehash B) not being understandable and C) being more broken (potentially) then the current system (for which i'm not even sure its broken)

The main problem with boosts from my point of view is that they aren't on grid, not how they boost your ships stats. Your proposal not only doesn't address that core problem but would be far more complicated to use than the current system.

Ships being able to achieve speeds above anything possible without links while maintaining a sig as small as a pod is certainly not broken.
Im proposing this because it doesnt seem like CCP coding team will be able to redo the fundamental mechanics behind warfare links and grids in the near future and it wouldnt be hard to implement with systems giving and taking SP already in place.

ok so asuming you're not new what would be the point in links if you have everything to level 5 already since you said they wouldn't take skills above 5? You might aswell say "lets remove links and just give everyone with less than X million SP another million sp to place where they like"

As a solo person it might indeed make them obsolete but in actual gangs/fleets you always have that one (almost alwys more) guys who are lacking some crucial stuff so thats not an issue really.

no... -1.

  - remove the cloaked from local; free intel is the real problem, not  "afk" cloaking -

Lol what? the ships are balanced around links already so they don't "break" anything the only problem is they can be used off grid and CCP is trying to figure out this problem
