Sensor Compensation skills clarification

Hello, I have one question about sensor compensation skills.
I will use this char just for pve (missions) and wasn't sure about training sensor compensation skills to V.
I have read some posts on forums and it seems the skill makes your ship harder to jam against some types of jamming.
I will fly just one ship (rattlesnake), which has the following spec:

Radar sensor strength: 0
Ladar sensor strength: 0
Magnetometric sensor strength: 0
Gravimetric sensor strength: 30

I was thinking to train just gravimetric to V and leave the others to 0.
Does it make sense? Or I am missing something?

thank you

You got it right. The RS has gravimetric sensors and is only affected by gravimetric sensor compensation. A Zealot for example, would only be affected by radar sensor compensation.

Does it also make your ship harder to probe in a safe spot?

Yes. But unless you are also fitting your ship for that purpose you aren't going to notice the difference.
