A scout probe that goes through the stargate before you do. And it can come back if it needs to. (or can)

First off I could put like shuttles everywhere and scout losing nothing but staring back in my home system, so this idea is already a factor.... why not make it a real factor.

Second off every s i n g l e MMO is going down. Theres to many theres to many free ones and theres to many flaws. Like ganks making money all day and restrictions. And here we are trolling the idea forum keeping MMOs from actually becoming what we want. Here in 5 6 years I'll say farewell to all of you because you don't play EVE anymore. And it wasn't because you don't want to play an MMO.

Your just a bunch of noobs that have no idea what happens in 5 10 years, while I've seen everything and am hanging tough.

Somehow, I think this thread has the single highest concentration of remarkably coherent Yige Shen posts that the forums have ever seen.

Also as much as i dislike CODE, EVEN I think this is pants on head speciall... Use a scout (make a friend if you dont have an alt) if your moving something expensive...

Its already in the game. Its called trial account. I wouldnt be completely opposed to it but it should be more like a cargo scanner (inaccurate) that costs some kind of fuel to use so pinging every gate isnt an option.

Only shows the hulls on the other side, with a 50% margin of error. So a Curse only shows as an arbi hull (Sabres as Thrashers etc..) and if there are 20 ships the scanner can show between 10 and 20 of them at random.
Only pings hulls within 30-40 maybe 50km of the gate.
Doesnt show anchored.
Doesnt show pilots names/corp/blue&red status.

Basically lock a stargate, activate a cargo scanner type thing at zero, 30second scan time using say 5 Stront for placeholders sake and you get back the basic hull names of at least 50% of whats within xkm of the gate on the other side.


I dont think its the worst idea ever because gate camps are kind of a wee bit pish and it can easily be countered by cloaked dics or lachs/arazus and the rest of the fleet at range on the gate.
