Hi Everyone I've previously bug reported this and posted about it here in the hope of having some dev attention.

I like to buy clothes from the NES store and stick them on, thing is though I've only got to try a few options before the shaders start playing up.

Half the time I can't see my character, other times all I've got left is a silhouette, all black with white glowing eyes.

It's kind of cool to look at and very sci fi but not what I intended.

I get this in the character creator as well as the captain's quarters.

This has happened since I first installed Eve on my 4 month old Mac :

Imac 27 Inch - Late 2013
3.2Ghz Intel Core i5
8 Gb 1600 Mhz DDR3

Nividia GeForce GT755M 1024 MB

Other aspects of the game work well such as in space activities so I'm a bit baffled.

Anychance we can have some Dev love on this as I've noticed that I am not the only one complaining about Mac graphical problems.

Many Thanks in advance to our super awesome devs who I'm sure are overworked and underpaid...

Don't take me too seriously though, I like to tease a bit on the forums, but that's only because I love you...

Same issue. In addition to that, I'm experiencing random crahes (unhandled exceptions), as well as graphic issues when opening, and then resizing any ship preview or the new map. Once 'provoked', the game usually crashes shortly after.

I get the same thing. I've also bug reported that too.

I've learned to live without the preview window though it used to pretty important to me.

I could check out other players in system and get a good sense of what they were like by checking their bios, checking their portraits and then finally viewing the full body.

Thanks all, we're investigating these reports. :)

Bug reports with clear and concise reproduction steps are the way to go!

Any chance you're running with high resolution textures? Because those work for me for about 10 minutes, and then everything goes sideways and the character ends up as a black silhouette with white glowing eyes, standing amid a completely unreal landscape.

If I dial back to medium quality, sanity is restored.

You know, this is the damndest thing, but... I just blindly figured out how to log in Star Trek Online's launcher (at least the cursor changes appropriately if you're over a button or a text field, even if I can't see them), and got to the login screen, and all the avatars are black silhouettes with glowing white eyes.

This is in OS X 10.10.3 beta.

I'm wondering if there's some very basic texture- or shader-loading failure going on. STO is also a Cider port.
