how do you maximize your Pi industris

I have 3 PI on 24h cykel.
1 plasma=Enriched Uranium
1 lava= Miniature Electronic
1 storm =Rocket Fuel

howe do i maximize my industris so thay pruduse more.

I don't have the PI production tree at work, but I try to produce more than one product per planet. E Uranium is fairly low level iirc, so you should maybe be able to produce more products on that planet.

EDIT: I think it's this one I use: http://www.hst-soft.de/korai/Eve_PI_Diagrams_v1_4.pdf Yeah well, it's a mid level product related to POS fuel, but if you look at Robotics ...

Assuming you're in Hisec:

Make sure your extractors are harvesting at least 3000 units of P0 per hour - adjust the duration of your program to stay above this.
If you keep it fed, your advanced factory will make 5 units of P2 per hour or 120 units per day,
On a Hisec planet that is achievable with level 4 skills. To do better you'll need to move your operation to Low or Nul.
I use PI to support T2 manufacturing so I don't sell it on the market - Transmitters are currently selling for around 10,000 isk per unit so you aren't going to get rich doing this.
Think of it as supplementary income. It takes me a few minutes per day to manage my planets - in return I get a few million isk worth of PI that I don't need to buy on the market. Helps with cash flow and margins.

Yes, I do all my PI either in low sec or null. There are quiet low sec pockets suitable for this if you look around a bit. Mail me ingame for two systems/areas I've used before (might need re-evaluating as I don't live there currently).

One thing to bear in mind is that (in general terms) shorter harvester cycles = greater returns ... but it also means greater input from you to manage it. PI is one of those things that can get pretty tedious after a while, so you need to find a balance that suits you between the time you put in and the returns you get.

This is my opinion and suggestion only. So take it for what it is.




  • Train PI skills up to 3-4. Command Center, Interplanetary and Planetology to 4; remaining skills to 3


  • Setup 5 planets to extract and produce P2.


  • Setup extractors to run on 1 day cycles.


  • Move P2 to market every 3-4 weeks.


  • Train Gallente Industrial to use Epithol; I found 3 to be sufficient.


  • Warp core stabs in low slots.


  • High sec not so much worth it. I would suggest quiet low sec or C1 WH.


  • If C1 WH, also look to own POCOs; either through bashing with an Oracle(s), or transfer ownership from previous owner.


  • Speak to owner of POCOs to ensure you will have access and if they would offer you a discount on taxes.
